We turned our back on God as a nation. Evil always rushes in to fill the void. The rot has taken over the past 50 years. Turning back to God is the only way out. We would have to humble our pride and admit our failure, and ask Him to save us. If we haven’t been given over to reprobation we could heal. Praying that the younger generations realize this.

Secular hedonism is the religion of the West. But it's a false religion and it can not replace Christianity.
There has been a consistent, low-level interest in Buddhism since the 1950s among former Christians, but it is too weird to serve as a whole of society replacement.
The choices for the West come down to Christianity and Islam. So far, Christianity isn't putting up much of a fight.

I agree the reason is due to us falling away from GOD and the great deceiver, Satan, is filling the void with evil which is Islam. Islamists are like locusts, they are a dark cloud on West bringing only destruction as parasites do. Their whole ideology is based on deception.
People see what's happening all around us and say that God will punish us for our behavior. A friend of mine says that what is happening IS God's punishment.
That's certainly part of it, but I think it's more complicated than that. The theocrats in Iran would argue that you are correct, and that they in contrast are faithfully following God. They aren't, but they fervently believe that they are.
On the other hand, there are many western liberals who believe that it's our spiritual duty to turn the other cheek, open our borders, provide housing and welfare to all who enter, and embrace everyone (even if they hate us) - no matter what the consequences to our families and our societies.
I think moral relativism and pseudo-intellectualism have blurred the line between right and wrong, and between Good and evil.
