Secular hedonism is the religion of the West. But it's a false religion and it can not replace Christianity.
There has been a consistent, low-level interest in Buddhism since the 1950s among former Christians, but it is too weird to serve as a whole of society replacement.
The choices for the West come down to Christianity and Islam. So far, Christianity isn't putting up much of a fight.
A third choice is to learn to think for yourself, but don’t expect anyone in this society to do that.
