A devolutionary war? Unless things change, a new dark age is upon us in the West.

n ever-increasing number of despondent Westerners are taking to social media to state things like, “I took a walk today. I don’t recognize my town anymore.” Or, “Nothing is like I remember it from my youth.” Or, I feel like a stranger in my own country.” Many of us have a longing for yesteryear.

There are multiple reasons for this, but every one of them is either directly or indirectly caused by Democrats and their disdain for the United States and traditional Americans.

Period.

Their policies, such as they are, are soft on crime and hard on law-abiding citizens and taxpayers. Their education system poisons childrens’ minds, teaching them to detest their country -- and that patriotic Christians, especially straight white men, are the biggest threat to the nation. Their teachers tell them capitalism is evil and socialism is far fairer and kinder, a staggering lie.

They inform them that “science” is conclusive and immutable: climate change is destroying the Earth and there are an infinite number of genders. And that Orange Man bad. Each of those things is a bald-faced lie, including that “science” could ever be conclusive and immutable. In their spare time, these rabid indoctrinated indoctrinators tell our kiddies that there are also an infinite variation of families but imply that the worst kind is one headed by one cis-male dad and one cis-female mom, as they put it. And, in too many cases, they may sexually — as well as mentally — abuse them.

In doing so, in committing these crimes, they leave kids depressed, adrift, bitter, and confused. Even broken. What a way to start out one’s life. It is no wonder that test scores are dropping as rates of mental illness have skyrocketed.

Yes, agreed.

I recently told some visiting relatives to expect to hear five sirens a day - either fire dept. or police - they thought I was exaggerating, until it happened. Every day that the were here (So Cal). One told me I was wrong: They heard more than five a day.

And, I live in an upscale area where the average price of a home around here is $1.5M.

We’ve devolved so much already. Funny how we, as a society, just accept it. I remember the old-timers so confidently state, “That can’t happen in America!”. God says “Oh yea?”.

Just repealing one amendment isn’t the fix, many apon many such idea’s need to be rolled back to the ideals of the founding of this country. The issue isn’t that women were allowed to vote, but the why they were allowed to vote (along with others). At the founding of this country, not even just every male could vote, usually it was land owners or something similar (that soon rapidly changed). The why was because it was hoped that responsible and actual paying tax payers should be the ones deciding just what our government was going to spend money on.

Benjamin Franklin said “A Republic if you can keep it”. The beginning of the change from that republic began long before allowing women to vote, but since they are 50% of the population, it was like adding gasoline to a fire.

I go to a 24hr fitness gym in San Jose - I feel like I’m in Saigon. 90% Vietnamese with not a word of English heard.

I’m the foreigner.

The gravest danger to Western countries going forward is the rapid Islamization of their nations.

is sin.

...unless the West somehow quickly grows a spine and sheds its suicidal empathy and hyper-tolerance, a New Dark Age awaits.

Well, could be...But I believe in natural law; and, in my view, that leads me to the conclusion that beings in sync with nature will eventually do whatever it takes to remain free. Those who don't prize freedom are defective.

It is quite possible that an attempt to totally disarm Americans might take place. If so, I believe nature will act to preserve the light of freedom.

We turned our back on God as a nation.

That's certainly part of it, but I think it's more complicated than that. The theocrats in Iran would argue that you are correct, and that they in contrast are faithfully following God. They aren't, but they fervently believe that they are.

On the other hand, there are many western liberals who believe that it's our spiritual duty to turn the other cheek, open our borders, provide housing and welfare to all who enter, and embrace everyone (even if they hate us) - no matter what the consequences to our families and our societies.

I think moral relativism and pseudo-intellectualism have blurred the line between right and wrong, and between Good and evil.

A third choice is to learn to think for yourself, but don’t expect anyone in this society to do that.

Bill federer disagrees...

The collapse of the throne of Constantine carried into Italy the debris of ancient Greece. France, in its turn, was enriched by these precious remnants. The sciences soon followed letters. To the art of writing was joined the art of thinking.”

In retrospect, Islam was instrumental in bringing about “The Dark Ages” when they conquered Egypt, cut off trade across the Mediterranean and held back the ships of papyrus;

and Islam was instrumental in “The Renaissance” when they invaded Greece and destroyed Greek culture, causing scholars to flee to Italy.

In fact, the very concepts of “Europe” and “Christendom” took shape in response to the Islamic invasion, as previously Europe viewed itself as innumerable independent kingdoms.

This was similar to the 13 American colonies having to work together against the King of England, giving birth to the concept of the “united” States.

I don’t know who Bill Federer happens to be; but, historians attribute the Middle Ages to the fall of the Roman Empire. That was caused by internal rotting away of society and then pillagers from the North.
