Extrapolation, even in our solar system there is only one planet that supports life.
The perfect distance from the star.
A moon just the right size.
Abundant water that is not frozen.
A belt of asteroids that protects our planet from interplanetary objects from routine collision.
Just the right mixture of oxygen and nitrogen in the atmosphere.
Earth is a pretty special place.
Maybe a place that others would like to visit.
Come check out the the monkeys with the highly developed cerebellums before they kill themselves with nuclear weapons

We don’t. We don’t even know where, or whether, the Universe ends.

Maybe someone who understands the Drake equation can enlighten us...
