Eight reported Bigfoot sightings were logged across Ohio in just four days, a surge experts say hasn't been seen in the region in nearly 50 years.
An expert with the Bigfoot Society podcast, hosted by Jeremiah Byron, said a possible 'flap' - a sudden cluster of Sasquatch sightings within a short time span - may be unfolding across Ohio.
Each witness, Byron said, is a local familiar with rural Ohio wildlife, and all described similar sightings: large, black-haired creatures with long arms, walking upright and making 'grunting noises.'

Yes, that’s why I love the grainy, shaky ufo videos from the government. A dot shakes and flutters or maybe it’s bird poo on the lens, and that’s the best they offer. Very convincing. By now, in 2026, if there was anything out there, we would have seen it.
oh look, I’m not saying they don’t see anything, that they are hallucinating— sometimes we see things and our brans need to fill in the gaps. Wheat walks upright, and we see it through trees, or something goes whirring by our faces. A thousand years ago— a spirit. Then later maybe a fairy. After the 50’s and all the movies came out: it’s aliens. Someday it might be interpreted as something else. Science demands proof. So far, unfortunately and it pains me to say this because life can be drab— no proof. Zero.
Most large animals are following streams to find food. Look at a map of Ohio for that region. There aren’t any large enough to show on a map at a 5-mile to the inch scale. Those sigtings involve an area with an 8 mile radius. That’s a lot of ground to cover so there must be a small population of them and they’d have to cross interstate highways or major state roads. Nobody has struck one with a car?
More than likely the legit sightings are glimpses of black bears. They’ve been known to walk on their hind legs for stretches.
As for “8-ft tall?”: People are typically very bad a judging distances and therefore estimating height from any given distance.

That scene from “Close Encounters of The Third Kind” still tickles me to this day...everyone in that meeting wants the government to take what they saw seriously, and the guy jumps up and says “I saw Bigfoot once...” and the circus was on!
Exactly what the government wanted, and not what the people who really saw something wanted!

No joke. About ten years ago we were on I-77 heading north just over the Ohio line about 4 or 5 pm. There was a slow down in traffic going about 15 mph. My husband was driving I was just looking around and on the other side of the southbound lane, there was a huge hairy ape-like creature on an incline, in the trees and brush just standing there staring at the traffic, in the brief time I saw it, it looked menacing. I told my husband to take an exit and turn around. He said I was nuts, not because of the monster but the traffic……….
The Rabbi in my building says that’s a myth! Much like the shiksa.
oh, I’m sure they would never put anything out there but I’m not talking about them, I’m talking about the other 8 billion people on the planet, and all those billions of phones with billions of really good cameras. By now, in 2026- I’d see something. Anything. Something remotely convincing.
You assume the government is good at doing things like covering up something perfectly? The government , by and large is inept and run by dunderheads. Fools. Something would have slipped out by now. Our most important tech, our most important secrets deal with our nuclear secrets. Those are passed around all the time. Those are as secret as a Hollywood actresses’ “secret sex tape.”
I used to live in a neighborhood with a group of peacocks. They are beautiful birds but they're a total nascence otherwise.
