Four military drones were stolen from Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
In a post on the U.S. Army Fort Campbell Facebook Page, a spokesperson wrote that four Skydio X10D Drone Systems were stolen from the 326th Division Engineer Battalion building.
The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division is offering a reward for information that leads to the conviction of those behind the theft.
The drones were originally stolen in November of last year, but Fort Campbell released information and surveillance photos to the public on March 11.
The Skydio X10D is an unmanned aerial drone designed with a modular payload capability.
The U.S. Army 7th Army Training Command, last July, used the Skydio X10D to drop a live M67 grenade for the first time at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany.

maybe, but more likely is there wated 4 months to tell anyone to buy time to figure out how to cover thier asses.
more likely, some e2-e3 took them for a weekend of fafo and cant figure out how to get them back on base with all the extra security going on now.

When I first saw the headline, I thought of a couple of “hold ma beer” country boys, but after seeing the photos of the suspects, I don’t sink so.
The story doesn’t say anything about the controllers, which might be fairly hard to make.
I understand that, but I would think ‘potential danger to the public’ would trump almost all of those considerations.

Theft of military materials is always a threat but when I was in the biggest worry was radical groups stealing weapons, so all unit armories were guarded all night, it was during the era of near constant terror bombings in America.

They have access to vehicles, can drive on and off base without too much fuss if they have a box or some crates.

I’m pretty positive it was two idiots that had access to the drones....only question is why.
I can’t imagine stealing government property just for a few bucks but stranger things have happened.
If not that then it was most likely for far more nefarious reasons.
Having been in the military I’ve seen my share of stuff that went out the gate. It’s like a sieve.

But since then there has been no word on the stolen items. My entry was that the military has become woke and shouldn’t be. And I’m sure Biden and Austin didn’t even know the drones were at Ft. Campbell. It’s not their job to know the inventory. That’s why they have people working for them.
The problem lies with the woke attitude of the people that are supposed to watch over and protect our equipment and he acceptance of things missing with a “big deal” attitude.

Lol, yes, the criminals or terrorists who did the theft and the civilians/people they are interacting with and exposing themselves and their activities to, may crack for a reward.
