So what was Cuba burning on its embassy roof after Ecuador ordered them thrown out of their country?

t's not easy being a Cuban agent of subversion in the Western hemisphere these days. Not only is Cuba out of money and falling apart, the glory days of the medical missionaries and the embassy wine parties with the elites abroad while the locals suffer back home are now all drying up.

According to the Associated Press:

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — Ecuador declared Cuba’s ambassador, Basilio Antonio Gutiérrez, and his diplomatic staff “persona non grata” on Wednesday and gave them 48 hours to leave the South American country.

Ecuador’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the measure was adopted within the framework of international diplomatic law, but didn’t say why they were forcing the diplomats to leave.

...

Shortly after the announcement, a man could be seen on the roof of the Cuban Embassy in Quito burning a bag of papers in a oven. The burning was witnessed by the Associated Press and later posted in a video on social media by Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, who remarked bluntly: “A paper barbecue.”

Give it a few months. Let them sweat.

Ecuador used to be a wonderful country. I have climbed several mountains there.

It was different all those years as a favored Soviet client state. Now they have no backup and with Maduro’s removal, nobody cares. Now they are just a broke expendable pawn. It might be hard work to topple though, because the entire population has grown up in the “warmth of collectivism” and may be difficult for them to imagine what it could be like as free men.

Probably just routine burning of documents before leaving.

Probably documents just like the Chinese Diplomats were burning at their Consulate in Houston when they were ordered to leave within 72 hours in July 2022.

Article leaves out the “glory” days when Obamaumao the First went to watch a baseball game with the known national paedophile and psychopath brother of Fidel... Raul Castro.

And, who can forget the Rolling Stones concert in Havana, to an audience that definitely did not consist of regular Cuban citizens. The same crap coming a few weeks later from Jimmy Buffett (all of whose planes and toys were owned by the DEA, btw. Coral Reefer, uh huh. Almost died in one cause he really did not know how to fly- seriously). But digression—

Neo globo-homo Socialist muslim brotherhood Obamaumao started the demise... like everything else the a@@clown ever touched.

Basta Ya! Libertad! Every single Commie from Canel on down— one way tickets never to return to what they destroyed. The Hong Kong of the Caribbean.

However, those in Houston were pre-printed ballots they shipped using a China owned “fedex” company. Straight to Fulton County. Let’s see if this ever gets verified. Something has scared the crap out of the Fulton Commissioners, and even the former Sheriff (who did his own burning, btw).

I’ve been there and toured a good part of the country. The only living being I had a problem with was a monkey who got justifiably angry with me when I teased him with a plantain. We both walked away uninjured and a little bit wiser.

We still have a couple friends there, but we used to have a whole family of them, ranging from medical doctors to government employees to an historical tour guide.

They’ve moved out one by one, mostly to Canada because it’s easier to get into than the US, and one is living in Spain for the time being. The matriarch of the family passed away at age 93 a few years ago and that’s when the rest of them started bugging out.

The only ones left there are the government employee (some transportation department gig) and his supremely cute wife Stefania. Her parents are wealthy, and they live in a small gated property outside the Quito metro area, so they have it pretty good compared to most.

We have a standing invitation to come and visit anytime, with free lodging, tour guides, and a driver, but we’re not in a hurry. The crime rate is something like six times higher now than when we were there in 2016.

Let's hope something finally comes to the top and people are arrested.

Any and all physical evidence to Cuba’s ties to Iran’s terror network.

This would be SOP for evacuating an embassy. If you can’t take it with you, you burn it.

Trump, last week, when asked about Cuba, “We’re very close to a deal with Cuba, we’re talking to them right now, we’re very close to a peaceful transfer.”

The documents just dealt with scheduling, with topics like her daughter’s wedding, “yoga routines” and beauty appointments….all 31,000 of them.
