U.S. Central Command declared Monday that Iran’s naval presence in the Gulf of Oman has been reduced to “ZERO,” announcing that every Iranian warship operating in the strategic waterway at the outset of Operation Epic Fury has been destroyed as American forces struck more than 1,250 targets in the first 48 hours of the campaign.

I am so proud or our Navy showing how important the environment is to them in creating new coral reefs for sustainable aquatic life management.

Mixed feelings about that. Having been a young sailor, (enlisted at 17) I can relate to the young Iranians who signed up to defend their country or simply to have a job at sea. My "war" was the Cuban Missile Crisis, and most of my shipmates and I were pretty apprehensive about the possibility of being torpedoed if TSHTF. And when we pulled into Guantanamo Bay to evacuate military dependents and civvy contractors we were aware that on the other side of that ring of hills was Cuban artillery capable of raining shells down upon us. They undoubtedly knew that they were targets, and I hope they had a "Come to Jesus" moment before they were wiped out.

It didn't get much press because of the F-15 FF incident yesterday, but Iran's largest Naval Base, Bandar Abbas, was struck yesterday morning. Hard to assess the damage from pics I've seen due to heavy smoke cover.

Iran’s naval headquarters at Bandar Abbas can be seen with thick black smoke, including at least one vessel ablaze.

As the US establishes Air Dominance over the gulf, any surviving ships will be hunted down.

Unfortunately, the report specifically references ships in the Gulf Of Oman, not the Straight of Hormuz. I think that it’s safe to assume that we still have a little work to do to completely wipe out the entire navy, but we are getting there.
