Judas Iscariot the Musical -- or Can We Escape Hell?

I have an outline for an original musical called "Judas Iscariot the Musical." Possible subtitle "Can We Escape Hell?" If you have any ideas on it, let me know.

1. Jesus dies a horrible death on the Cross, goes to Hell (Apostle’s Creed), and can't remember who he is. He says, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Something that is also a reference to a passage in the Psalms.

2. He meets Judas in Hell, who helps him remember that he is not just a man but the Messiah, the Savior.

3. Judas is actually a good guy who betrayed Jesus -- not for the money, but because he loved Mary Magdalene. He didn’t think they would kill Jesus.

4. Mary only had eyes for Jesus -- so it's a love triangle. Mary’s mother preferred Judas to Jesus for her daughter. Judas was a rich man on earth and has a chariot.

5. There are also devils and demons in Hell. They look like Hell’s Angels bikers who have Egyptian pyramids. One is called Mephistopheles, and he wants Judas to keep Jesus in confusion in Hell so that he doesn’t remember his identity as the Messiah. If Jesus learns his identity, he would rise out of Hell.

6. Mephistopheles tempts Judas by offering him Mary. Judas can have his love, Mary, in Hell for eternity if he keeps Jesus confused.

7. Judas is now facing the same temptation of betraying Jesus that he felt on earth.

8. There are flashbacks to the earth, and Jesus eventually regains his memory with Judas' help.

9. Jesus forgives Judas, and they both ascend from Hell (a happy ending). So yes, you can escape Hell.

The Bible doesn’t tell you much of what happened in Hell. It is like Swiss Cheese with big holes in it. The holes allow you to fill in the details with what you think might have happened. This musical will be a lavish spectacle, a feast for the eyes! When does a musical take place in Hell? It could also be seen as the sequel to Jesus Christ Superstar.

Jesus is God. He is the Great I AM. If you ascribe to Him human shortcomings/vulnerabilities (especially AFTER the crucifixion), then it would be blasphemous.

Not blasphemous, but not indicated in Scripture at all (actually it's contra-indicated) is your statement that Mary Magdelene had feelings for Jesus that were purely physical. Mary saw Him has her savior. Not a potential husband.

I'm not sure what you are looking for a 'Character Study' but as far as those (♪♫♪) who died hanging from a tree, an analog from left field:

I am taken by the fact that 4 men died as stated above. The Messiah to the Son of Perdition with two common Criminals All died hanging from a tree which is a curse.
I think there must be Something More embedded in this most pivotal time in History. Darkness over the earth, Earth quakes,Graves opening and torn curtains...?

I’m not espousing beliefs. I am just taking liberties to tell a story of Jesus meeting Judas in hell. I’m not saying any of it is truth. It’s one of those, “Well suppose Jesus met Judas in Hell. What do you think might have happened?” “Well... maybe Jesus died so horribly that he can’t remember who he is and Judas helps him remember.” “But why would Judas help Jesus out?” So on it goes with interesting speculation. Its not met to say this is what really happened.

It's really telling that most of the secular musicals, plays and fictionalized stories about Jesus all deny some aspect of His Divinity. Jesus' had some words of condemnation for that kind of thinking:

Then He told them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

“Who are You?” they asked.

“Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. “I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”

They did not understand that He was telling them about the Father. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me. He who sent Me is with Me. He has not left Me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.” (John 8:23-29)

It's a musical. Hence the reference to Psalm 137.

I was just on the subject of marquise cut diamonds yesterday, which is why they came to mind, the details in the number of cuts etc.

Compare a convex lens; it's like viewing one from the side.

The idea here is that the quest for truth involves being on the lookout for different viewing angles -- new perspectives on reality, which are nothing like fill-in-the-blank games of fantasy.

The daily habit of personal observation and interest in the Creator's handiwork is nothing like making stuff up.

Even those faithfully sticking with the status quo settled "truths" will be shocked that they've been completely scammed by deadbeats masquerading as enlightened teachers of God's Word.

That's because they put their faith in somebody else's eyeballs. Turns out they were blind.
