I have an outline for an original musical called "Judas Iscariot the Musical." Possible subtitle "Can We Escape Hell?" If you have any ideas on it, let me know.
1. Jesus dies a horrible death on the Cross, goes to Hell (Apostle’s Creed), and can't remember who he is. He says, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Something that is also a reference to a passage in the Psalms.
2. He meets Judas in Hell, who helps him remember that he is not just a man but the Messiah, the Savior.
3. Judas is actually a good guy who betrayed Jesus -- not for the money, but because he loved Mary Magdalene. He didn’t think they would kill Jesus.
4. Mary only had eyes for Jesus -- so it's a love triangle. Mary’s mother preferred Judas to Jesus for her daughter. Judas was a rich man on earth and has a chariot.
5. There are also devils and demons in Hell. They look like Hell’s Angels bikers who have Egyptian pyramids. One is called Mephistopheles, and he wants Judas to keep Jesus in confusion in Hell so that he doesn’t remember his identity as the Messiah. If Jesus learns his identity, he would rise out of Hell.
6. Mephistopheles tempts Judas by offering him Mary. Judas can have his love, Mary, in Hell for eternity if he keeps Jesus confused.
7. Judas is now facing the same temptation of betraying Jesus that he felt on earth.
8. There are flashbacks to the earth, and Jesus eventually regains his memory with Judas' help.
9. Jesus forgives Judas, and they both ascend from Hell (a happy ending). So yes, you can escape Hell.
The Bible doesn’t tell you much of what happened in Hell. It is like Swiss Cheese with big holes in it. The holes allow you to fill in the details with what you think might have happened. This musical will be a lavish spectacle, a feast for the eyes! When does a musical take place in Hell? It could also be seen as the sequel to Jesus Christ Superstar.

Bishop Robert Barron shares the same heresy
That’s a good point. Mel is following a tradition. I’m simply posing a “what if” situation and not saying that any of it is true. Mostly likely Christ did triumphantly descending into hell. I take it on faith. I’m also thinking of the man/human side of Christ who through the pain of crusifixion lost his memory, and the various people he might of met, including Judas. It is pure specuation entertainment and fantasy — definitely not the truth. And it’s not competing with the truth. It is to get people thinking about Hell.
I don’t know my audience. I just speculationg, asking “What if” questions. It’s not meant to be true. It’s to get us to think about Hell and is also ask questions.
Good Lord. I never thought that AI could actually make this into a movie. But you are right someody might do this and I’ll proabaly see it one day and say, “That looks really familiar...
Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (he who was about to betray him), said, “Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.--John 12:1-8
Good point FIJI.

BEJ what ever you profess your motivation
If it’s Not to Glorify GOD it’s sin.
If it paints an untrue picture of God’s Son your playing with Hell Fire.
There are a few things in your script that go against the Word, such as Jesus needing help from Judas, and Judas getting a second chance to escape Hell because he was “basically a good person.” That could confuse people about the Truth which clearly speaks against these things. The bigger problem is using the Creator, the Holy King who laid down His life for us to save us, for entertainment purposes through irreverent speculation and presenting creative liberties could dishonor Him and even lead people astray. That was the problem with Jesus Christ Superstar, which came across as crass and disrespectful. Some things are so holy we shouldn’t go there. I think you meant well but don’t realize how spiritually dangerous it is.
Consider this:
Is the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar biblical?

You make very good points. I thank you for that.
Judas is actually a good guy
Mary’s mother preferred Judas to Jesus
demons in Hell...One is called Mephistopheles, and he wants Judas to keep Jesus in confusion in Hell
Mephistopheles tempts Judas by offering him Mary...
Jesus eventually regains his memory with Judas' help.
Jesus forgives Judas, and they both ascend from Hell (a happy ending). So yes, you can escape Hell. ? You claim (your home page) that "I’m an ex liberal who has come to his senses" "I have a Master in Theology... I had been accepted to do a PhD in Christian Theology, but quit because Postmodernism had infiltrated most of the teaching staff," yet your post is one who has his mind, with sickening perverse theology, which makes Postmodernism look mild!
Judas was not any kind of "good guy," but a devil, a son of perdition, (John 6:70; John 17:12) who was highly accountable, seeing, hearing, and following and serving the Lord Christ, and even being given a position of trust, as a treasurer, (John 13:29) and whom the Lord even warned, "The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born." (Matthew 26:24)
As as a highly accountable, reprobate sinner, he spurned his day of grace, going passed the point whereby one may find repentance, and thus when finally faced with his wicked deed, betraying no less the Divine Son of God, did not have Godly sorrow, but the sorrow of the world, for "Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." (2 Corinthians 7:10) And as explained here and here, The Lord Jesus descended first into the lower parts of the earth to he lead captivity captive, those who believed on Him, but could not enter Heaven since Heb. 10:4, thus Heb. 9:8, but since Jn. 19:30 became a reality then "He that descended [to set those comforted in Abraham's bosom, free to ascend to the third Heaven, which henceforth is Paradise" (2Cor 12:4) ], is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (Ephesians 4:8-11)
As for "Mary’s mother preferred Judas to Jesus," "Mephistopheles tempts Judas by offering him Mary..". why do you even post such wanton insanity? I can let the Catholics rightly hang you for this after we make you drink your anti-scriptural, anti-Christ poisonous postulation.
Your fantasy is not that of a person struggling with a wrong view of God, such as protesting (as I too often have) what He is calling them to do for instance, but is actually that of a extreme public perverted postulation which you rather insanely want us to judge! Well, it has been and will be, as it should be. May God have mercy on you. May God grant you “repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.” (2 Timothy 2:25)
JUST WHAT KIND OFUNSCRIPTURAL PUBLIC PERVERTED, BLASPHEMOUS, DELUSIONAL WANTON FANTASY IS THIS?!

Eyew.
I am surprised this was suggested by a FReeper that has a likelihood of saying he is a Christian.
Sir, this is not a way to glorify God.
This is dangerous, demonic territory you are entering here. Get out while you can.

You’re so welcome. In return I thank you for presenting a good biblical research opportunity. Now that I’m awake, I’ve been rereading your post. There’s so much there to compare in the Word, providing many mini-studies. One this morning is:
Did Jesus go to hell between His death and resurrection?
https://www.gotquestions.org/did-Jesus-go-to-hell.html
Don’t ever hesitate to ask God (in prayer or reading the Word) or your Brothers & Sisters about your ideas. The wisdom of the Holy Spirit will guide you in a manner that the fruits of your work will be a blessing that glorifies God rather than a feast of the flesh.
We are in the end of the church age now. The harvest is great but the workers few. Ask God how your stories can bless the lost and encourage the faithful for the glory of our King. God has given you creative gifts for you to use according to His purpose and plan.
Have you ever been to Sight and Sound Theater? They do just that. They’re amazing. Spectacular shows that draw people to the Word. I wish there were more like them.
https://www.sight-sound.com/
I heard The Ark/ Creation Museum has shows similar to that, too, but I’ve never been there.
That link is shocking! Everyone involved in that project of damnation is attempting to mock God. The consequences of this are tragic.
More to consider has come to light this morning. We have to take care in this area.

What does it mean to not add or take away from the Bible (Deuteronomy 4:2)?

not add or take away
Answer
In Deuteronomy 4:2 the Israelites are given a warning: “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.” This warning not to add or take away from the commands of the Lord is specifically given to the Israelites after the wilderness wandering. With this command, was Moses telling the Israelites not to add or take away from the Bible? Does this apply to us today?
The Israelites were instructed to remember what God had done and to carefully obey His decrees and laws. These included the Ten Commandments as well as other laws God gave them to observe as they entered the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 4:14). By carefully following God’s “righteous decrees and laws,” the people would be a light to the nations (Deuteronomy 4:6–7).
The warning to Israel not to add or take away from God’s commands was needed. Human nature is such that we try to “improve” on what God has said—as if His perfect Word needs editing. One of Jesus’ rebukes of the Pharisees and experts of the law of His day concerned their failure to heed Moses’ instructions. Jesus told them, “You nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down” (Mark 7:13). Their “improvement” of God’s Word involved taking away from His commands (“you nullify”) and adding to His commands (“your tradition”).
“...The warning in Deuteronomy 4:2 specifically applies to law given to the Israelites, but does it apply to the entire Bible? When Moses gave the instruction, Genesis through Deuteronomy were the entire Bible—that’s all the revelation God had given to that point. So, yes, Moses was speaking of the “entire Bible” available at that time. Don’t add to it; don’t take away from it. Later, God gave further revelation, and there are other passages that reflect the same message. Revelation 22:18–19, for example, contains a similar warning: “I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book” (ESV). Proverbs 30:5–6 warns that the person who adds to God’s words will be rebuked and proved a liar. With these repeated messages, God sets His Word apart as holy. The warning not to add or take away from God’s commands applies to the entire Bible. ...
...Since God values His Word and name above all else (Psalm 138:2), we are not to distort it in any way. We must not add to or take away from it. We must not hold tradition or man’s opinions equal to it. We must not add or remove words or passages to fit our own interpretation. We must not falsify, alter, or intentionally miscommunicate what is in it. ...”
Sorry I should have done a better editing job on my last post.
Dude .. . IF you do THIS it will be one of the WORSE decisions you EVER made in your Life!
To even CONSIDER to do this act of BLASPHEMY indicates a severe lack of judgement and possible mental illness.
