Trump will attend White House Correspondents’ Dinner in stunning twist

President Trump stunned Washington insiders Monday by announcing that he will attend this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 25 — after snubbing journalists and skipping all prior dinners during his presidency.

“The White House Correspondents Association has asked me, very nicely, to be the Honoree at this year’s Dinner, a long and storied tradition since it began in 1924, under then President Calvin Coolidge,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“In honor of our Nation’s 250th Birthday, and the fact that these ‘Correspondents’ now admit that I am truly one of the Greatest Presidents in the History of our Country, the G.O.A.T., according to many, it will be my Honor to accept their invitation, and work to make it the GREATEST, HOTTEST, and MOST SPECTACULAR DINNER, OF ANY KIND, EVER!”

Trump added: “Because the Press was extraordinarily bad to me, FAKE NEWS ALL, right from the beginning of my First Term, I boycotted the event, and never went as Honoree. However, I look forward to being with everyone this year. Hopefully, it will be something very Special.”

Good, he’ll wipe the floor with them.

When you can always predict what your opponent will do, you can easily make them look stupid. Especially when they are stupid.

I have never know this man to take more than he gave.

Confront your enemies, don’t run from them.

Trump is gradually taking over the media companies using billionaire donors neutering his critics in the process.

Yeah.....feel uncomfortable about him going to a superfluous dinner with lots of people who purportedly hate him enough to constantly lie about him. He should stay on point and keep doing his job....cause that will keep those traitorous “journalists” crazy....

It will be the MSM’s turn to not attend. I do believe it’s done to raise money so they can still give it away.

I agree. But Trump must have a reason. If only to show he came to their mean-spirited dinner while almost half of Congress either avoided his SOTU address or made fools of themselves while attending it.

I would prefer that he not go to the Correspondent’s Dinner. Starve the beast. Let the CD wither on the vine. They’re all scorpions and snakes.

"What does he have to lose?"

His life. Some a-hole journalist will invite one of their assassin friends.
