McDonald’s ‘biggest’ half-pound burger ever and calorie bomb is finally coming to the US - here’s when and how much it will cost

Holy cow! McDonald’s biggest burger ever is finally coming to the US.

The fast-food chain revealed that the Big Arch Burger will be rolling out nationally on Tuesday, March 3 — and they’re calling it their “most McDonald’s, McDonald’s burger” yet, per the McDonald’s Menu Spotter.

Lucky for New York City-based Golden Arch fans, the highly anticipated burger is already widely available in Manhattan, according to the McDonald’s app.

The burger, available for a limited time, is “a love letter to fans who simply can’t get enough,” featuring two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese, crispy onions, slivered raw onions, lettuce, pickles and Big Arch Sauce.

Big Arch Sauce is described as “a tangy, creamy sauce with a perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors.”

The new burger first garnered cult fandom across Canadian and European markets in 2024 and was eventually added to the permanent menu in the UK and Ireland.

Weighing in at 14 ounces total — compared to the total 3.5 ounces of a standard burger — the Big Arch Burger is the chain’s biggest burger.

And with a big burger comes big calories and a big price.

The new Big Arch Burger consists of 1,020 calories, according to the McDonald’s website.

All the fast food places keep going up while all my groceries have come down quite a bit. I hadn’t gone to a subway in years but stopped on a drive a few weeks ago. I walked right back out when a basic sandwich was $16 for some bread, cheap veggies, and sweat meat. I drove hungry for a while and cooked when I got home. I predict this burger will be in the $11 range.

And whatever else was on the server’s bare hand as it was made.

BEST deal I got at McDonald's were a few years ago when they had a one day special where you buy a specialty burger or chicken sandwich with any foreign coin you offered. So I gave them Venezuelan Bolivar coins which were worth next to nothing. I think I picked up about 20 burgers and chicken sandwiches that day for a total cost of less than a U.S. quarter.

Fun Fact: The specialty chicken sandwich was much BETTER than any chicken sandwich that McD has since offered.
