McDonald’s ‘biggest’ half-pound burger ever and calorie bomb is finally coming to the US - here’s when and how much it will cost

Holy cow! McDonald’s biggest burger ever is finally coming to the US.

The fast-food chain revealed that the Big Arch Burger will be rolling out nationally on Tuesday, March 3 — and they’re calling it their “most McDonald’s, McDonald’s burger” yet, per the McDonald’s Menu Spotter.

Lucky for New York City-based Golden Arch fans, the highly anticipated burger is already widely available in Manhattan, according to the McDonald’s app.

The burger, available for a limited time, is “a love letter to fans who simply can’t get enough,” featuring two quarter-pound beef patties, three slices of melted white cheddar cheese, crispy onions, slivered raw onions, lettuce, pickles and Big Arch Sauce.

Big Arch Sauce is described as “a tangy, creamy sauce with a perfect balance of mustard, pickle and sweet tomato flavors.”

The new burger first garnered cult fandom across Canadian and European markets in 2024 and was eventually added to the permanent menu in the UK and Ireland.

Weighing in at 14 ounces total — compared to the total 3.5 ounces of a standard burger — the Big Arch Burger is the chain’s biggest burger.

And with a big burger comes big calories and a big price.

The new Big Arch Burger consists of 1,020 calories, according to the McDonald’s website.

Supposedly that is not true - I had to take a look

AI Overview:

No, McDonald’s does not use mealworms or any form of worm filler in their burgers. This is a long-standing urban legend. McDonald’s officially states that their burgers in the U.S. are made with 100% pure beef, seasoned with only salt and pepper.

Debunked Rumor: Claims that McDonald’s uses worm meat have been thoroughly debunked as false.

I don’t think they sell that anymore. Didn’t see, or maybe failed to notice it on the menu, because I would’ve bought it!!! I’d guess you’d be right though, very expensive!!

Not found on a GLP-1 menu. I wouldn’t be able to digest the top layer. It would take me a week to eat it.

It’s remarkably easy and a cheap thrill, and I don’t have to sit there waiting. Here, we have people who line up to pay $15+ for a mediocre car wash that might last 2 days and then drive another 1/2 mile from there to wait in fast food drive-thru lanes for their $15+ worth of crap. It’s like they think it’s a good look or something. They must be the same pigs who toss their fast food trash out the window. They’re not the kind who let it pile up inside their car unless it’s a lease vehicle. Maybe it’s none of my business but they sure look like fools to me.

Don't make the mistake of thinking what you get in the store looks anything like what's in the promotional photos.

The way it “really is” is not very appetizing.

LOL!

When my Japanese stepdaughter’s aunt came to visit, she was shocked at the portion sizes. She asked why they were so big.

I told her some people only eat a portion and take the rest home.

Yep - the problem is that the smaller burgers are frozen and the 1/4 lb. burgers are fresh. There’s a definite taste difference. They need to make a fresh Big Mac.

That is gross. 1,000 calories? People will buy it, to their detriment.

So now McDonalds is competing with the Heart Attack Grill?

Hit don’t matter what it costs when you’re spending somebody else’s money, all the bother is to get a second cart and one for your fat ass.
