You understand that this was an enrichment facility, not a weapons facility... they excavated below a dairy plant and then sneaked centrifuges in. This was not a long standing facility, it was a backup secret facility. They figured that no one would bomb a dairy processing plant.

Yes, being an enrichment facility would have put it on Day One, that was the whole point of the shorter bombing period in the ‘!st’ war. I’m pretty sure the US knew the Iranians weren’t giving up their enriched uranium without a fight. Had this been a priority target it would have gone down on the first day of this bombing period. Since it wasn’t, I doubt its significance.
