If you stole one or two things you’d probably get away with it. Same thing happened to a guy at the post office when I was working there. He was stealing everything (even stuff from other delivery services) got busted pretty quickly

Every year or so there is a story of a US postal carrier who tossed mail in a vacant lot or country road area to keep pace with the required work quotas.

Big problem for FedEx drivers is there is a computer tracking every move of a package and how long it took. “Gone somewhere. Unknown.” is not one of the categories.
