Do they know Buffalo Bill was based on Ed Gein?
And Ed Gein was a transsexual who liked to skin women and wear their skins?
A 35 year old movie about a gender confused murderer.
Considering these so called “trans” peoples bent towards mass shootings these days, I’d say whoever wrote the screenplay for silence of the lambs is a bonafide visionary!
Will John Waters be apologizing for Divine?
Screw these hollywood clowns. Trannies are mentally ill. Every one of them. It is not healthy or normal to butcher your healthy body. And it is downright evil to butcher a child’s body for the sake of some tranny homo to feel good about themselves or a loser mother seeking fame announcing her children are “trans.”
Yeah, they never should have characterized a trans serial killer who skins his victim as evil; that’s just wrong! 🙄
OK ... so did the studio apologize for making the movie or did some reporter simply get this quote out of actor Ted Levine in an interview? Hate to nitpick but I don’t think this rises to the level of the whole of Hollywood apologizing for making a movie 35 years ago that offends present-day LGTBQIA+XYZ♠♥♣♦ sensibilities. However, I’m sure they would do that immediately if someone decided to make a stink about it. Maybe it’ll happen soon if more people see the interview and the right people get the vapors reading it.
If you are a fan of this movie and want to see it again I suggest buying it on physical media today while you’re able. Along with Blazing Saddles and 1984.
Maybe they can rewrite the script and have Buffalo Bill the hero who only skins MAGA women like the ones who abused him all his life?
I shouldn’t be giving them any ideas.
It puts the lotion in the basket!
I’ll bet he cried all the way to the bank.
And how can you "vilify" kidnapping, murder and mutilating a corpse? Those are all things that are objectively bad.
Hollywood apologizing for something in the past?
Reminds me a bit of how Disney refuses to show their classic movie “Song of the South”.
Also, reminds me a bit of how some cable TV movie channel was going to have a Charlie Chan movie festival, but then decided to cancel it, because of pressure brought to bear by various people.
And so now we see Hollywood apologizing for a movie about some kind of mentally ill transgender serial killer. Since transgender people are special nowadays, it apparently offends the sensibilities of certain people, to depict such a character.
I did not realize that the Buffalo Bill character was inspired by an actual serial killer. In that case, this movie was not just completely fiction.
But even so, it still would offend the sensibilities of some people to have a fictionalized version of a deranged mind, if the deranged mind happens to be a member of a recognized grievance group such as transsexuals.
HOLLYWEIRD: We need a “Gone with the Wind” and “Peter Pan” disclaimer prior to movie viewing by anyone.
Okay. Give the Oscar’s back!
No apologizes for Charlie Kirk though.
A murder mystery where the "trans" twist was the surprise ending.
Less famous now than Silence of the Lambs but much more plausible.
Also, remember The Crying Game with the terrorist tranny connection?
I have a vague impression there were others, but that's as far I can go off the top of my head.
I apologize constantly for Hollywood’s crappy movies. So I just don’t watch a lot of them.
One of my favorite LGBT movies.
So, no serial killers are LGBT, they are all straight.
