I scooped the story about the mass shooting in Canada and it too was removed from breaking news. Now my story, with a better source, is second.
“Where is Rio Rico?”
On the border with Mexico…..so they’d better be looking across the border too.
The mom could be in some stash house down there, or even in one of their gangsters’ tunnels.
Pima County just reported finding a body believed to be Nancy.
Bless your bitter heart.
Where’d you get that?
I understand what people are saying about her being like your grandma. Of course, she is not literally your grandmother or my grandmother. If that’s really your interpretation to what someone said, I don’t know what to say.
It seems odd, you say you can’t have empathy about something that never happened to you. I’m sure the vast majority of us have never been kidnapped or had a family member kidnapped.
Well, have your opinion such as it is.
A youtube short just popped up.
Detainee is a Door Dash Driver per his mother.
Need something better than that
When Baby Jessica was in the well, why dedicate so much time and energy to just one person?
In Tuscon, when you get to the edge of town you are at the edge of town. Nest stop Sonora Mexico 60 miles.
I’m just putting it out there, I’m not confirming it.
I’m sure the vast majority of us have never been kidnapped or had a family member kidnapped.
——-
That’s my point. (That’s why the word you are looking for is “Sympathy”, btw)
You still haven’t answered the question.
Why should we care about a news organization celebrity relation? Or maybe more to the point, why don’t the news organizations care about all those missing people? Never heard a peep about it. But we’re all supposed to get exercised about this - to the exclusion of a great many very important issues of our time. It sucks all the air out of the room, so to speak. Or so I’m told, I haven’t watched any of it since about 2012, but from what I’m hearing it’s 24/7 right now. See where I’m goin’ with that?
I meant Nogales.
“I can’t have empathy for something that has never happened to me.”
**************************************************************
Wow...such a really big heart.
I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.
Good try, though! LOL
I have no answers , as to why we should care about something happening in the family of someone famous. The media will cover these stories, because they are happening to someone famous.
Maybe the media think whatever they report is something we should care about????
It is just north of Nogales, AZ. You can travel from Tuscon south via I-19 to a US Border Patrol crossing into Nogales, MX. It's about an hour drive from Tuscon to Nogales, AZ, and about a 16 minute drive from the US Nogales to the Mexican Nogales.
Empathy is when you say “I know what you’re going through”. Because it has happened to you, too. It is a very powerful emotion. I can’t help it when people don’t know what words mean, and then jump to conclusions that are not correct, and want to call me names. LOL.
I certainly have sympathy, who would not?
But you, like so many others, are missing the point. I can’t be persuaded by the news organization to care more about a celebrity news reader’s 85 year old mom more than the other 1000 missing (not so famous) persons in Arizona.
Although I have genuine sympathy for Nancy Guthrie, I don't see her as my grandmother. My father's mother died before I was born, and I never knew my own mother because she abandoned us when I was about 10 months old. So sweeping assertions such at yours are unfortunate.
