At least one GOP lawmakers is calling on the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to take action after Bad Bunny’s shocking and vulgar halftime lyrics were translated from Spanish to English.
As TGP reported, on Sunday night, Hispanic entertainer Bad Bunny performed at the halftime show at Super Bowl LX. Commissioner Roger Goodell and his team picked this anti-American act, who no one has heard of and most people cannot understand, to play at the Super Bowl this year.
This was infuriating to millions of Americans. And that is when TPUSA stepped in and decided to hold their own halftime show. At least 25 million people tuned in to the alternative show.
During one scene you can see two men simulating sex with each other.
Bad Bunny’s Spanish lyrics were translated to English and they were much worse than previously thought: Lyrics from Bad Bunny's song featuring playful and provocative themes about romance and desire, highlighting a mix of humor and intimacy. Bad Bunny lyrics (1) Lyrics excerpt from a song featuring playful themes about attraction and confidence, emphasizing body positivity and fun interactions. Bad Bunny lyrics (2)
Congressman Randy Fine (FL) called on the FCC to take action, including fines and broadcast license reviews against the NFL, NBC and Bad Bunny.
Rep. Fine’s statement:
You can’t say the f-word on live TV.
“Bad Bunny”‘s disgusting halftime show was illegal.
Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous.
Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules.
We are sending BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the NFL, NBC, and “Bad Bunny.”
Lock them up.
(actual lyrics in English on link)
I asked Grok for a transcript of the words sung and it said there is no such thing anywhere public. All you can go by is that it was a medley of his songs, whose full lyrics can be seen.
Trouble is that even people who speak Spanish can’t understand the words because Puerto Ricans speak a dialect that they can’t follow.
I wonder if anybody recorded it with English subtitles, or if that is even possible - especially with a dialect that’s not translatable because it’s mostly slang.
The decent Puerto Ricans who heard it probably changed the channel, and the smutty Puerto Ricans who heard it wouldn’t “tattle”.
Send Roger packing in his free private jet straight too Samalia .
AI is so useless. Better to just use some old-fashioned Google-fu.
Does anyone have a link to an a translated transcript of the lyrics he ACTUALLY sang? I have been having a hard time finding that - everything refers to the lyrics from the studio recordings.
Not sure I am “shocked.”
But it is pretty clear why they did not put up closed captions.
He certainly did. That guy is known for being foul mouthed.
Problem is, it becomes a tit-for-tat, because they will turn right around and point out the lyrics to Kid Rock’s songs.
Site not available, it says
Thanks. Now we just need a translation.

The lyrics to “Louie, Louie”.
Cable is a free-for-all.
Admittedly this doesn't make the networks much better, just a little better.
But did Kid Rock sing similarly objectionable lyrics on network TV? Maybe he did, I don’t know. Not really a fan.

That’s the same question they are asking about BB.
Since I did NOT watch it (don’t understand Spanish) I have to wait to be offended until someone translates it for me.
indeed
There ya go.
If a tree falls in the woods...
Perhaps some of them will take it upon themselves to clue the rest of us gringos in.
After all, someone had to record the information after the holocaust to expose the horror to the world.
