Five men were arrested in Miami last week after allegedly attempting to bring drugs aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise marketed towards gay people.
The men are facing a variety of possession and trafficking charges after trained dogs alerted to their bags as they tried to board the Symphony of the Seas for what Royal Caribbean touts as 'The World’s Biggest Gay Festival at Sea.'
After the dogs alerted, US Customs and Border Patrol officers searched the men's bags and persons. They found containers of pills and clear liquids that tested positive for methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA and GBL.
The names of the men are Joshua Jenkins, 39, Brad Kloha, 41, Joshua Eddy, 41, Adam Jones, 49, and Hoi Le, 51.
The men were taken into custody by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office on February 1 and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral.
Eddy was found to have the most drugs and is facing the most serious charges.
Border Patrol officers discovered 'several bags' of pills and liquid that tested positive for 19.3 grams of MDMA, 3.4 grams of ketamine, 7.55 grams of meth and 80 grams of GBL.
GBL is a popular drug in the gay community's party scene. The body breaks it down into GHB, which is a chemical classified as a central nervous system depressant and causes euphoria, disinhibition and increased libido. GHB is sometimes referred to as a 'date rape' drug because it can cause drowsiness, but it is also used recreationally with consent.
Eddy was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of trafficking MDMA. His bond was set at $7,000.

Every ship is “the wrong ship” if you want to avoid disgusting PDAs by homos. Seeing them lolling around in the hot tubs, which are petri dishes for ... I don’t even want to think about it. We NEVER use the hot tubs or pools when cruising, for obvious reasons.

Ditto for us. Usually, we just stay on board, or visit the shops right in port. The pharmacies are handy for buying antibiotics OTC which are Rx in the USA.
If we take a tour, we stick to the ones sponsored by the cruise lines because they seem to be safer. If bad things happen, their public relations takes a hit.
This is from Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas shortly after the Covid restrictions were lifted and cruising was allowed to resume. Note that masks were supposed to be worn and close contact was supposed to be limited.
It looks like they covered up the aqua theater pool and turned the whole area of the boardwalk into one mass of gay fetish.

I was being facetious. I have always found sodomites disgusting. My only question is why they made up 1% of the population in my day but some estimates put them over 20% today
I ended up at Disney World the week after Gay week with my young nieces and nephews only to see a myriad of holdover homos and their disgusting behavior. My 7 year old niece had to witness a man in front of her in line put his fingers in another man’s anus. I was back at the hotel pool and if I had been there no telling what I might have done.
I’m dome pretending to tolerate them.

So glad we decided to not take the Miami route, I truly think I would cancel and re-book (I always get the insurance) if I had to be on the cruise following this one.
6 hours is NOT enough time to fully sanitize a cruise ship after something like that went on IMHO.

Very, very well if you can pretend to accept them for who they are, a lot of discretionary income.
My son is a bartender at a Casino in Terre Haute Indiana and he is incredibly fit and very good looking. (Proud dad, but not my opinion only, everyone looks at him, then me, then my wife, and shakes their head lol) He is married, and it is my DIL that tells him to not wear his ring while working, she says he is there to make money and since tips are his main income then play along with them.
He gets hit on a lot, always pretends to regret telling her/him that he has a steady relationship but does so with a smile, he tells me that gay men by far are the biggest tippers when you pretend to take care about their feelings. Cougars are a close second, but he says a lot of them are far more agressive than any gay guy he has had to deal with. No doesn't mean no to many of them, especially after 3 or 4 Old Fashions.

When I was but a wee lad back in the 80’s we cruised NCL and Costa.
On every cruise there was a notice of a meeting of the “Friends of Dorothy.” My mom’s name was Dorothy. We always encouraged her to go to their gatherings. She was not amused.
