We are having such odd weather right now in So Cal - temps in the 80s every day with light winds (to dry everything out!). I'm out watering like it's summer - and I've already lost some of my winter bedding plants due to the heat.

We need rain, rain and more rain and cooler temps...

Meanwhile, plants are blooming that aren't supposed to be blooming this time of year...

Such as hibiscus:

I got only two stalks of orchids this year which means the rest of them will need to be re-potted:

Plan for the day is to make lemon curd, I'm about to get an explosion of lemons:

It's also camellia season, but I don't expect to see that many with the heat we're getting:

So jealous! When I lived in Imperial Beach (1980-’82) I had neighbors that were very generous with all of their citrus and Avocados. They loved that this ‘Wisconsin Gal’ would take a lot of it off their hands! My Step-Dad used to make Limoncello. Good stuff - in moderation.
