A 53-year-old man in California will spend nearly a decade behind bars for stabbing an elderly stranger on a hiking trail late last year after the victim made eye contact with the assailant.

Do you remember Richard Speck? He killed several nurses who worked at the hospital where my wife was a nurse. It was too close to our residence. I despise stupid serial killers who murder people they don’t know.
I was up in Washington a couple years ago and said “good morning” to some guy on the street and he went absolutely crazy on me. I’m a big guy and can handle myself and carry. But Geesh. Crazy people every where.
I knew his grandmother was Dutch
There is a quote from some Army/Marine general during the Iraq war. Something like “Be professional, be polite, and have a plan on how to kill everyone you meet.”
Not a bad way to view some everyday circumstances as well.
