Investors want a return on their investment. FR would never produce a return, that’s not how it’s set up to operate. It runs on donations, gifts that are freely given without expectation of monetary return.
We support FR with our donations because for us, the “return“ is the non-monetary value of the site for our use.
With all due respect to your idea, trying to run this for investors would require that the site make money. It would destroy FR. Just consider the number of threads complaining about this feature or that feature that would “modernize” the site. The resounding response is that we like it just the way it is.

I didn’t get the impression that the investors were looking to monetize it as much as update it .
Hopefully keeping its elegant front end.

I haven't been supporting this site with my donations for 20+ years because it yields an ROI. Sure, I want my investments to produce a return, it's the capitalist system. That doesn't mean our ends are at odds. I would, though, ask that you not attribute to your allies the attributes of your enemies whomever they may be. Doing so will not work out great for our movement in the end.
In the spirit of Charlie Kirk, allow me just point out that this site is not mobile friendly and, like it or not, that is where young ppl live. We need to engage with the future and not just the past. I understand where you are coming but new users shouldn't need to know how to format HTML to post here in a manner suited to their desire. I mean, have you tried to use FR on your mobile phone cause it ain't great.
Be stubborn all you want but how does that advance the conservative movement?
