Wesley Hunt - what's not to like?
me | 14Jan26 | jagusafr

I'm more and more impressed with Wesley Hunt as a Republican candidate to replace John Cornyn. Cornyn (a friend of my late father) needs to go, and Paxton has way too much baggage (and if his wife can't trust him, why should I?). Are there negatives that I haven't seen yet on Hunt other than his relative political inexperience?

I’m not looking for a preacher, I’m looking for someone who has kept his promises to the voters and who has delivered. Someone who has taken on the Bushite Republican establishment in Texas, and survived.

I’m sticking with Paxton, not a vote splitter candidate.

Yea, I know I’m not being woke here.

Wesley Hunt was in the meeting with Trump in Afstan when Trump told the head of the Tali that we will kill you if you hurt one more American as Trump showed him a picture of his house and walked out. It worked. Sorry if I mentioned it before but I love it.

The only thing I don’t like is that he was a rising star in the House and I thought this run for Senate was Quixotic - but some things indicate he’s gaining more traction so maybe not.

Otherwise he’d be a huge upgrade from Cornyn and without Paxton’s baggage.

What l am saying is l wish we would have enough discipline to run one and only one Conservative so the base vote is not split allowing rino snakes like Cornyn to get in through the back door. I would have thought my post would have made that point clear.

“A choice between Cornyn and Paxton is a choice between which pile of manure you want to step in...”

Considering Cornholio is a mega pile of wet manure, I’ll take Paxton’s dry pile of manure.

I am going with Ken Paxton for several reasons.

1. The media hates him. Good

2. Ok, he is divorced, but we don’t know if the wife was a nutjob or not. Sometimes that happens. I have friends who have been divorced and when the truth comes out, it looks a lot different than in the front end.

I’d be satisfied with either Paxton or Hunt, but Hunt will face an uphill battle. I do like the fact that Hunt is a veteran.

Cornyn is getting NO support from talkshow host (and Texan) Jesse Kelly.

(iHeart, WRKO-AM, 6PM).

So how much is Cornyn paying Hunt to run?

Based on a short search on Wesley Hunt, I will vote for him in the primaries.

After that, anything to keep Texas from turning purple.

Wesley Hunt is doing all he can to re-elect John Cornyn. If you want Cornyn gone, vote for Ken Paxton.

~~~
TEXAS absolutey has two of the very best deep-heart Conservatives, in both Paxton & Hunt.
Wesley Hunt when called, is always on the front lines in the US House. No fault, flawless, and articulate.
Paxton on the other hand has never waited to be called upon.
He is direct, a change maker and has saved Texas in court and out, pressing issues that push the Governor and the legislature to act.
Hated by all organized media, the entire RINO establishment, Paxton holds a tight lead, in this particular poll.
(One which actually could be biased against him. I don’t know.) 🤔
Hunt may be good or he may be a spoiler and a Cornyn cut out. Paxton has done the job in Austin that few other AGs have done anywhere. I do not like his personal life story but truthfully, we only know the personal life of people the left hates. Secret lives stay secret as long as they stay in line.
As Tony Buzbee challenged the Texas Senate when he said that everyone in the room who had committed adultery should be impeached. Something like that. It was a mike drop. If you want to understand the trial, listen to the proceedings, not what Texas Monthy, etc., filtered to print.
