President Donald Trump declared that he will be cutting off federal funds to sanctuary jurisdictions across the country beginning in February.
The White House will cease all federal payments to city and state governments that restrict cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities, Trump said Tuesday while addressing the Detroit Economic Club. The declaration follows intense national focus on immigration policy, with multiple lawsuits against enforcement surges racking up and Democrats demanding the Department of Homeland Security scale back activities.

Apparently there’s decades of precedent, where if fraud is detected in a federal program, that program can be shut down. There is not federal law saying funding has to continue when fraud and is committed. This is the precedent they’re going to cite - this I learned today from The Daily Signal.
Some Obama appointee will overturn this and force the payments.
The party in power always loses in the midterms, remember? Stop being more afraid of optics and winning than doing the logical thing. We have to beat these lunatics or we won’t have a country much longer.
Trump has systematically turned off the money spigots flowing to leftists.

What would be the point of making toothless public threats? This already happened to him once in Maine and he immediately backed down, and the Dems up there said they beat him.
Those cities will be voting blue anyway. No loss.

Yup. All governors of all sanctuary states should be arrested and thrown in prison for aiding criminals and condoning their illegal activities like murder and rape.
