As U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents surged into Minneapolis, Minnesota, one local McDonald’s made a public display against the upholding of federal immigration law.
The Daily Wire posted an image of the sign, which was captioned “NO ICE ACCESS IN THIS BUSINESS,” to social media platform X on Thursday afternoon.
The sign was clear that it was intended as a “NOTICE TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT & IMMIGRATION AGENTS.”
“This is a private business,” it said.
“You are not permitted to enter non-public areas of this business (including offices, break rooms, storage areas, and staff-only areas) without a valid JUDICIAL WARRANT signed by a judge or magistrate.”
After more legal threats, the sign concluded, “IF YOU ENTER, YOU ARE TRESPASSING, AND WE WILL SEEK LEGAL RECOURSE.”
A reporter from The Daily Wire paid a visit to the McDonald’s and confirmed the attempt to bar ICE agents from entry with a security guard.
“Yeah, just to let you know, at the end of the day, this is private property,” the security guard said.
“So you can’t just break the law because you’re a federal agent,” he added. “It’s like coming into your house or coming to any other restaurant. There’s rules.”
The security guard said he was not sure whether the manager was the individual who posted the sign.
McDonald’s USA said it contacted the franchise owner regarding the sign, which has since been removed.
“We’re in touch with the owner/operator of this franchised restaurant and have confirmed that this flyer was posted without approval and has since been taken down,” the fast food behemoth told Blaze Media.
The owner/operator refreshed employees about their policies regarding signage.
The controversy occurs as federal agents investigate rampant welfare fraud in Minneapolis following reports of Somali community members defrauding state welfare and social services funds.

The good news is that the store only had to post the sign in English.

ICE detentionx do not require warrants, as I understand.
I’d give that McD owner and manager “ warrants” written on greasy burger wrappers
And notice to federal employees any McD meal expenses nationwide are not reimbursable under travel expenses
And I always love it when people who don’t know jack shit about anything start calling someones food ….dog food. Just how much dog food have you eaten to be able to make that comparison, inquiring minds want to know🤔
So it wasn't the owner/operator. I guess the next question is who put it up?

Hopefully our ICE Officers are given a stipend to eat elsewhere so they can stay healthy.

I think if I were an ICE agent I would either try to find an actively supportive business, a place where I can watch my food being prepared, or bring my own lunch. Too many psychos out there.
Yes, go eat somewhere else (preferably not manufactured fast food) and consider oneself blessed by it.
Knowing Minneapolis as I do, I’d be curious as to which McDonald’s this signage appeared at? Several locations immediately come to mind...

Private businesses are NOT exempt from aiding and abetting felons arrests.

If McDonald's doesn't go nuclear on this franchisee or manager, they should have to worry about national boycotts. Hilton Hotels acted speedily to disenfranchise the Hampton Inns that refused to admit ICE and Border Patrol agents. Top management at the fast food chain should follow their example.
Right; can't trust the food preparation.
Still, agents could stop by and say hello, buy a cup of fruit punch from the self-serve machine, and sit at the tables and visit with community members.
Most locations should be able to accommodate 30 or 40 agents at a time. And if the agents visit in relays, they could ensure security all day.
