KENOSHA, Wis. — A dog was fatally shot after it attacked multiple people Saturday night, the Kenosha Police Department reported on Tuesday.
The police and fire departments responded to the 6100 block of 18th Avenue at around 9 p.m. and learned about a dog biting a 36-year-old woman.
While family members, officers, and fire personnel were gathered outside the home, the dog escaped and attacked multiple individuals, including members of the Kenosha Fire Department.
A police officer, who has four years of law enforcement experience, discharged his firearm, fatally wounding the animal. The dog was actively and aggressively attacking and biting numerous residents, who were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Kenosha Racine Area Investigative Team has been contacted to review the incident, and the Racine County Sheriff's Office was assigned as the lead agency for the investigation. Police said they would follow up with an internal investigation.
Officials said no further details will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
I bought an ultrasound buzzer for dogs because I work outside, and I tried it on a few dogs. — one dog, whose ears went up ,that dog was scared of it and he ran. But if they have the type of ears that flop over like an earmuff, then it doesn’t have any effect on them. Also, the noise doesn’t have any effect on them if they are already crazy and running at you and barking it doesn’t really bother them. If they’re asleep, it will wake them up and they get startled, but if they’re gonna come and attack you then no amount of sound is gonna do anything for them. You can make their ears bleed, they’re still gonna try to kill you. just fyi
