KENOSHA, Wis. — A dog was fatally shot after it attacked multiple people Saturday night, the Kenosha Police Department reported on Tuesday.
The police and fire departments responded to the 6100 block of 18th Avenue at around 9 p.m. and learned about a dog biting a 36-year-old woman.
While family members, officers, and fire personnel were gathered outside the home, the dog escaped and attacked multiple individuals, including members of the Kenosha Fire Department.
A police officer, who has four years of law enforcement experience, discharged his firearm, fatally wounding the animal. The dog was actively and aggressively attacking and biting numerous residents, who were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Kenosha Racine Area Investigative Team has been contacted to review the incident, and the Racine County Sheriff's Office was assigned as the lead agency for the investigation. Police said they would follow up with an internal investigation.
Officials said no further details will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

The breed of peace?
I bet it was a pit bull. I was almost killed by one not long ago. Unfortunately, since the dog’s owner was destitute and had no insurance, I got nothing from him. Bummer.
Oh, jeez. I can hear the libtards already. “Innocent pooch shot to death by barbaric men, for no good reason, the poor thing didn’t shoot anyone!”
No video. No more info...
My guess...
From a month sgo and Kenosha, not thr names of the two perps...

If I’m right, this recent story will be momeory holed, despite injuries to first responders and the public, because local and state government doesn’t want to tip off ICE.
What a nice screw you to the public.
Note to first responders: Silence is consent.
Why you likely won’t hear that, see my reply #5.
Are pit bulls equal to POC now? Not allowed to mention breed/race?
Rabid, maybe? Paging Atticus Finch.
Why is this nonsense being reported on FR?
I’m sorry this happened to you.
If you were almost killed, you must have sustained very serious injuries.
You have the option to take the owner of the dog to small claims court to get reimbursement for doctor & hospital bills, lost income, future medical treatment, and also a $ amount for pain & suffering?
Do you know what happened to the dog?
Silence is consent.
My neighbor almost got her hand bit off in august.
She was jogging and random one went psycho when it saw her and attacked.
Ive been thinking of naming a post about it.
Doesn’t matter, libtards can twist anything around and they do. Often, and with increasing frequency and amplification.
I think the dog was put down. A week before it attacked me, it attacked a UpS driver. I’m scarred up but ok now. The dog was a feral “rescue.” My lawyer told me I would win in court in 5 minutes, but the owner would just go bankrupt and I’d never see a single payment on the judgement. Plus, even if a homeowner has homeowners insurance, many policies literally have clauses against pit bulls. They won’t pay out for pit bulls. So yeah , where I live my payout for damages would have been pretty high, but I got zero. Nada.
Some dogs are just plain crazy. I was at a friend and neighbor’s house when another neighbor brought his little mixed dog about the size of Jack Russell, maybe a little smaller, about 10 pounds or so. I was petting it and it seemed content and enjoying the petting. All of a sudden it just went nuts, snapping, growling, snarling like it was rabid. I jerked away just in time or I would be missing a finger or two. The idiot neighbor and owner just said, “He does that sometimes”. I told him his dog was lucky I didn’t get bit.
I hope the dog was not black or this is gonna blow up big time.
Also, the dog was not armed...
These days you’ve just got to carry a defensive weapon.
- A firearm, if that’s your thing.
- Or one of those less-lethal Byrna guns.
- Or police-grade pepper spray.
(Fox and Sabre are good brands.)
Don’t leave home without it.
