Your dementia risk goes up 45% if your ‘peak activity’ happens after this time of day

Published in the medical journal Neurology, researchers found that participants who were more active during a specific window of the day had an increased risk of dementia, a condition characterized by declines in memory, language, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Guided by the brain and influenced by light exposure, circadian rhythm is a roughly 24-hour cycle that determines when we become sleepy and when we’re more alert.

In addition to regulating sleep and wake cycles, it also regulates hormones, body temperature and digestion.

I’d walk into walls with that much sleep.

My cat and I are at our best after ten hours sleep. Have always been this way, Had to have husehold help when my kids were babies or they would have starved. Breakfast? Never. I can only eat after 11 a.m. and dinner is at 7. Two, not three, meals every day..

I’ll be 90 in June. No health problems other than. lousy vision. And a bout of Vertigo a few months ago. I’d never even heard of it.

At 65, soon to be 66, my peak time is 4am to about 10am.

“best after ten hours sleep.”

I couldn’t function with that much sleep. If I’m lucky enough to get eight hours, I’m good. After eight, I’m loopy — in a stupor — the rest of the day.

Our cats ... Well, they’re cats 😁

Let’s see... My most intensive workout is around 2:30, which is +45 for Alzheimer’s. But I also am working out, which is -25 for Alzheimer’s. And I’m doing it after eating a meal heavy with polyphenols, another -20 for Alzheimer’s.

So I’m good as long as I don’t pick my nose. That just screws everything up.

I’m retired. Of course my peak activity is after 2 PM, I don’t get up until 1:30.
