You would think Minneapolis's leaders would do all they could to try to salvage their city's riot-prone image in the wake of the George Floyd debacle. But you'd be wrong.
Here's the latest idiocy coming out of what looks like a sad situation for a leftist woman lacking reasonable judgment around police operations, according to the New York Times:
A federal officer shot and killed a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis during an immigration enforcement operation Wednesday, as the Trump administration intensified a crackdown on illegal immigration. Details of the shooting remained unclear, with conflicting accounts from local and federal officials.
Tricia McLaughlin, a Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman, said in a statement that an agent had opened fire after a woman “weaponized her vehicle” in an attempt to kill federal officers. Mayor Jacob Frey called her account “bull----” in a news conference, describing the shooting instead as “an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.”
Well, no, it was not bee ess, and anyone looking at the videos on X can clearly see that it looked like a protester ramming ICE agents in the course of their duties, using her car as a weapon, and an agent or agents firing back through the windshield, which can only be done from the front. To any reasonable observer, that's self-defense, even as it led to an unfortunate ending for the leftist.

From this view, the vehicle makes contact with the agent's hip or thigh, by the positioning of the agent's body and leg in the last frame, just before he shoots.
Note the car has moved forward about 3 feet in about a second before striking the agent in front. The smoke in front of the car windshield is from the first shot.
From the tweet Nick Sortor posted, it appears the agent may have partially been on the hood, before he hopped off and started shooting.

THe pilot was initially almost perpendicular to the road. The vehicle is seen backing up, and the front wheels, initially turned to the left, are straight when the vehicle has stopped backing up. Note the agent directly in front of the driver, while the wheels are straight.
Why is the agent in front of the pilot? Because the agent was in the road, next to the vehicle to the right of the pilot, as seen in the sortor video. He is starting to cross the road, when the pilot turns and is pointed at him.
Why does the agent start drawing his gun? Because after the pilot has backed up, you see the brake lights go out, then the female guns the pilot, because you can see the tires spin. The agent hears that, and starts pulling out his gun to defend himself --- because he is in front of the pilot.
Why does the pilot drive off to the right, avoiding the agent? Even with power steering, unless you force the steering wheel, the tires on a vehicle don't immediately turn when turning a steering wheel. The female had already started to attempt to turn the steering, but the wheels had not responded until she had already been shot, and the pilot starts moving forward. The pilot moves about 3 feet, and hits the agent in the process.
Well we can go back and forth arguing about this but the bottom line is that now the Dems will use this as a distraction from their complicity in the Somali fraud and further try to disrupt that investigation.

According to a statement released by Homeland Security agents are taught never to approach a car from the front for obvious reasons. And they are also told that shooting the driver will not stop the car from moving forward so the correct action is to get the hell out of the way. But this cowboy was pissed that she clipped him and so decided he had every right to take her out and now finds himself in trouble. At this point his best hope is for a sympathetic jury. This is the sort of thing that happens when you rely upon inexperienced police officers. I would say inadequately trained as well except that it appears that he was properly trained he just chose to ignore official protocol.
The left is fully mental/demented, you'd have better luck inviting Hannibal lecter to dinner and surviving than arguing with a liberal.

That’s because in the video they released, the ICE agent in FRONT of the SUV can barely be seen, everyone assumed it was the agent to the left of the SUV that was the agent who fired the shots in self defense - making it look like he was in NO danger.
Better video this morning shows the agent in question clearly in FRONT of the SUV - and in danger of being killed.

He was not in front of the SUV, until the perp backed up and aimed it at him.
The bottom line is that
You refuse to acknowledge you are wrong, the agent was already in the road in the direction the female was attempting to go towards to escape and would have been run over if he had not moved.
You want to continue to gaslight and push the leftist false narrative on what happened, that the agent did not have to shoot, and it was the agent's fault that the female was killed.
I generally don’t break the law so no I don’t have any reason to play these sorts of games with cops. If I get pulled over I turn off the car and put both hands on the steering wheel where they can be seen to put the cop at ease. So many crybabies pop up here when anyone presents a dissenting opinion it’s ridiculous.
Was he hit during the attempted arrest or when she swerved at them when they were trying to get their vehicle unstuck?
The whole incident was an arrest attempt. He was hit when she backed up and aimed the SUV at him. She did not swerve, she aimed.
Yesterday Homeland Security made an official statement as to what the officers are taught is proper procedure. Needless to saw the officer in question did not act in accordance with what he was taught.

Well now it is up to the jury to decide who was right or wrong in this case. Trump should have responded that the incident is under investigation and the judicial system will decide the outcome. But instead it looks like he is going to take their bait and allow this incident to be entirely blown out of proportion. As I’ve said the Dems will use this distraction to sideline their complicity into the Somali fraud. Trump could use some better advisors.
As I’ve posted numerous times Homeland Security said agents were trained to never approach a car from the front and that shooting the driver does NOT stop the car from moving forward. Basically commonsense something this particular agent lacked since this was the SECOND time he was clipped by a car that he was standing in front of. Unfortunately there is no cure for stupidity.
