It doesn't say they ALL put handcuffs on him; just that they dragged him to the back where he WAS handcuffed. I'm sure the crew always carry restraints these days.

Most airlines carry handcuffs stored for the crew. But the thread identified passengers and not crew. It didn’t say the crew was part of the action.
