Husband has the respiratory flu. (He also has COPD) Any suggestions to help him

I put slices of fresh ginger in my pine needle tea and honey. After I drank the tea, I chewed the ginger slices. It helped for a couple of hours.
I had to resort to DayQuil at night because the coughing was just too bad.

Greeneyes used to take NAC (). She said it significantly helped improve her breathing (she had COPD).

Eucalyptus helps in the shower for breathing. It sells cheap in Etsy or Amazon.
Mullien tea for the respiratory... The decongestant that works best for me is Allegra 24 hours, generic fexofenadine plus generic chlorpheniramine maleate 4mg. With COPD he may need oxygen - which I now see advertised over-the-counter in spray cans with respiratory masks.
I had something like this in November-December. Had a heavy cough and very tired. Things I took and he might try. (No, I am not a doctor)
Ginger tea was suggested, I had that Clove tea or both together. Also Green Tea in combination with either.
Eat Fresh Pineapple. Drink Pineapple juice. (Bromulain) Drink Liquids...Have soup. Vitamins C, D, and Zinc.
(If he is not on a blood thinner...) I already use nattokinase to thin my blood. I took Serrapeptase to help break up the mucus. (Take several times a day.)
Vicks has a steam inhaler that I purchased and used. Eucalyptus scent pads.
Do not stay up late like me, sleep.
At night if I needed to surpress my cough I used Coricidin Flu medicine.
"Coricidin HBP DM refers to a line of over-the-counter cold and cough medications formulated for adults with high blood pressure (HBP). These products are designed to relieve symptoms such as cough, sore throat, and fever without ingredients that may raise blood pressure, such as decongestants. Purpose: Relieves cough, sore throat, fever, and nasal congestion associated with the common cold or flu."
"Target Audience: Adults with high blood pressure who need safe cold relief."
Prayers for him and you, God Bless and good night!
