I’m one of those freaks who only orders a burger well done at a restaurant. Ask me why.

“The issue was discovered during “routine” testing, with the sampling results showing the presence of E. coli O26, according to the FSIS announcement.”

Good on the company for monitoring their product. this shows the effectiveness of auditing.

No telling how many people were saved from the agony of that illness.

America’s food supply has gone to crap. That probably is a result of four years of importing sick foreigners by the Biden/Harris regime. Scum is everywhere.

Cook ground beef well in a pan. That kills every single e-coli. I don’t feed even my dog uncooked ground beef. Dog is doing very well. Last dog lived 16 healthy years with not a single penny spent on vets. My thing for dogs is to start brushing their teeth (no toothpaste) DAILY. Seems to keep them healthy and energetic through old age.

Don’t throw it away - I’ll take it.

I actually cook ground beef before eating it.

I generally use ground beef for spaghetti or chili. Browning and simmering should be sufficient to kill the e-coli.

It’s been a while since I cooked a hamburger. My hamburgers would not be safe if contaminated as I leave it a some pink or red inside.

IF Folks like rare burgers- one method of making it safe is to souse vide it for an hour at 130 or so (Better to go 1 1/2 to 2 hours just to be sure thoyugh)- then take out, form a patty and charr the outside

The secret to making it safe is not temperature alone- it’s temperature PLUS time- the longer it stays at say 130 140 or whatever, the safer it is- You can even eat chicken at 130 IF you souse vide it for awhile-
