We’ve known that all along. Putin doesn’t want a failed disaster of country next door. He wants a trading partner that also acts as a buffer against NATO which insists on being his enemy. Crooked Ukraine was a pawn that picked the wrong partner. NATO shouldn’t have blown up the Minsk agreement and tried to surround Russia with NATO countries.
