Corporations are not persons. In any case, my argument is that we need laws that end displacing American workers with cheaper foreign workers.
If earnings is what makes corporations 'smart' and that's all we should care about then let's return to using child labor, let's legalize slavery and indentured servants, let's allow as much pollution as a company wishes .... Again, if earnings equates being smart, then we can make/change laws that will maximize corporate earnings regardless of who or what suffers.
Corporations aren't smart, they are merely taking advantage of laws that allow cheap labor. It's not the first time our laws favored corporations and the rich to maximize the bottom line.
