This year’s flu season is proving to be worse than normal, with hospitalizations up significantly compared to last year, and the CDC reporting 4.6 million cases of the flu so far.
But with peak flu season still going on until at least February, signs of the unusual “super flu” variant behind the rising sickness don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
The leading culprit? The latest version of the flu, subclade K, is a variant of the H3N2 influenza A virus that dominates flu seasons. This strain was responsible for over half of US flu cases as of mid-November.

What they don’t tell you is that the flu shot was not developed for that version of the flu ... taking the flu shot is betting that hopium will prevail and you will be protected.
It’s almost fun to catch the flu, if you got colloidal silver on hand. Knocks it out quick and it reminds you to thank God, too.
Imagine that.
Every single time as a kid that I got the flu, the symptoms came on very, very rapidly and were very, very intense.
I sported fevers so high that I thrashed and screamed—when I wasn’t lying on the floor after puking up my socks—and my mom spent all night trying to keep me cooled down. And praying over me.
Because of what I just told y’all, I remember almost every instance that I had the flu in my childhood and teen years. It was that traumatic.

My wife just got over via ten days of Tamaflu influenza A , she had 103.6F at 0400 the first night she was sick by 0600 it was a hospital visit 104.1F they confirmed via two lab tests influenza A I am sure it was this H3 variant. It took IV fever reducers half a day to bring her under 102 for discharge, and 4 days of antivirals to not look like a walking corpse all white and weak. The ER started me on antiviral that morning and I just also finished 10 days worth never got sick but my blood work is loaded with antibodies for flu A now so I was infected the antivirals worked as designed. This version is no joke my wife is more than a decade younger, super fit, a literal yoga pants workout junkie girl all crossfit maniac, her first case of flu in 3 years and in her words “it kicked my add worse than meningitis did”
Word of advice don’t wait if someone in your cohort tests positive for influenza A immediately make your GP give you 75mg once per day for 10 days you have a 72 hour window from exposure not first symptom for it to have a 90% effective rate it drops fast to near zero at 72 hours after first symptom.
Half her private practice seems like (special needs children) are out with flu and whole families are sick and sequestered for the holidays no fun. 6 kids and 8 parents all have lab confirmed flu A it’s a mess in North Texas right now

I had a friend who developed ARDS and AKI. He had a covid infection that began in late 2020. He and his wife both. Her case was mild, his became severe and he spent weeks in ICU before his body finally gave up the struggle.

There’s a well known number of flu deaths every year. Insurance companies in particular collect this data.
When the mortality number is much higher than normal the “excess deaths” get attributed to something other than normal flu. Typically a hybrid flu like in 1957, 1969, 1975. But in 2020 it was a SARS virus. The number of flu deaths remained constant, the bulge in mortality was from Covid.
Influenza Type A H2N2 is what went around in 1957, when I was age 6. I caught it and I was the sickest that I’ve ever been. I still remember it, I had fluid in my lungs for maybe 2 weeks.
Excess deaths from respiratory disease that year were over 60,000. It was considered the worst flu outbreak since 1918.
