As leaders equivocate and extremists unite left and right, open season on Jews spreads across the West—unchecked, unnamed, and certain to grow deadlier.
Jews celebrating Hanukkah were just slaughtered by Muslim gunmen on an Australian beach, in an imitation of the October 7 massacres. At Brown University, two students were killed and nine wounded by an allegedly Muslim shooter.
An inert Europe is canceling Christmas celebrations out of fear of threats of violence from Muslim minorities. In the West, when an Islamist shoots a Jew, politicians often offer two bizarre remedies: gun control or a task force to tackle Islamophobia.
Yet, our political class rarely offers data on the overwhelming preponderance of targeting Jews rather than Muslims, much less the vast disparity in Jewish-on-Muslim versus Muslim-on-Jewish violence.
To catalog all the recent violence against Jews in the Western world would fill a book.
We know the causes. Anemic Western leaders—politicians, college presidents, media grandees, and celebrities—fear Muslim terrorism, growing Muslim voters, and their own growing anti-Semitic campus constituencies.
So, they never call out anti-Semitic violence other than with nauseating nothings like, “Such violence has no place here.” Or “We condemn such violence in the utmost terms.” Or “This is not who we are.”
The prime minister of Australia—a country that produced some of the most heroic soldiers of World War I and II and still is a bulwark of the West in the Pacific—goes through a series of linguistic contortions daily to avoid identifying the threat to Jews and how to stop it. He talks as if guns were animate and murdered Jews without the aid of radical Islamic killers.
So nothing much follows in the West, and Jews are becoming the hunted. The attacks will increase because there is no foreseeable force to combat them.

Yet I would like to recast this somewhat to include events like the September 11th 2001 attack and the 1972 attack on the Israeli Olympic team in Munich Germany.
A portion of India became Muslim and there was so much violence that it became a separate nation, Pakistan. Yet that was not a solution as there is conflict between India and Pakistan.
I can’t keep track of the murders committed by Muslims in Africa. They are mostly the murder of Christians, but animists and other infidels will do.
Russia and Communist China have also had Muslim problems. It appears that Muslim have their eyes set on Japan.
Dearborn and London are lost, and the takeover of New York city is unfolding before our eyes. Europe is cancelling Christmas celebrations so as not to offend. In Britain and Germany Muslims rape white girls and those who complain are arrested for Islamophobia. You can’t make this stuff up.
VDH is right to ask if it is open season on Jews. However, there is a greater forest to see. Muslims intend to take over and are doing so.
Islam is the problem. Imperialism, conquest, subjugation are baked into the religion itself.

This is an important fact, to show that we should never condemn an entire group of people over the actions of a few, no matter how despicable those actions may have been. That's hard to do sometimes, and we've all been guilty of it before, but I believe the true God wants everyone to be judged individually, and fairly, on their own. That does not mean that smart GOVERNMENT policy shouldn't possibly restrict certain groups, or religions, based on a high proclivity or probability that a group may be dangerous in an overall context, but the specific cases of penalty against anyone should be judged individually, and independently.

Well said. Just like the Muslims, there are different sects of Judaism, that have very different core beliefs, some of which believe that violence against non-Jews is acceptable. It is important that no religion, Christians included, be praised or condemned, in total, as there is evil hiding in the dark corners of them all.

The shooter was from Portugal I heard. He was 40 and there were few Muslims in Portugal in the 1980s.
