I remember something similar near here. A man walking in his pasture when some teens broke through his gate in a new truck and tried to run him down.He had trouble with them before.
This time he was armed with an SKS rifle and I heard the ten shots in the distance from my house.
Next day it was all over town who and what happened. He shot no one but did permanently disable the new truck. The teen who instigated the run down committed suicide several years later after getting out of prison.
What bothers me, is the other teens later laughed and joked about how close they came to being hit by the bullets.
