Donald Trump has doubled down on his attacks on Rob Reiner after the Hollywood star and his wife were apparently murdered.
The President appeared to blame Reiner and Michele's killings on the liberal director's 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' in a Monday post on Truth Social.
Hollywood celebrities and Republicans pushed back on his statement, with some calling it 'disgusting and vile.'
But the President seemed undeterred in his criticism of the late director.
When pressed by a reporter in the Oval Office about his previous statement, he said: 'Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person. As far as Trump was concerned.
'I think he hurt himself, career-wise, he became like a deranged person, [with] Trump derangement syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all, in any way shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.'
Trump also accused Reiner of pushing the 'Russia hoax', the allegation that the President was compromised by the Kremlin during his first term.
He wrote that Reiner, a 'once very talented movie director and comedy star,' passed away, 'reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease' known as TDS - or Trump Derangement Syndrome. The term is used by conservatives to describe disdain for the Republican President.
Trump's post continued: 'He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness.'
The vicious statement about the couple's death highlighted Trump's tendency to attack public figures following their passing. The Republican has also ridiculed the late Senator John McCain and General Colin Powell after they died.

He’s simply not as smart as I thought he was.
“Trump needs to stop doing this.”
Yeah, he does.
Hey Trump, you want to be on the 80% side of these things.
And if there is one thing I’m 100% sure of, it’s that Trump, or disagreements about Trump, or love of Trump, or hatred of Trump, had ZERO to do with the beastly murder of these two people.
The guy was a living parody of a loudmouthed, liberal Jew siding with those who would shove his own people into another set of boxcars while destroying America.
I posted that previously around here.
I wouldn’t expect anything but crickets with receipts like that..
Another one from CP that really says it for me.

Do you want to know why Republicans always lose, even when we’re winning?
“We’re better than that.”
Democrats never think “We’re better than that.” They think “What can we do to win?”
And then they win, taking advantage of our self-defeating, love of Marquess of Queensberry rules.
I’m not saying we should lie, or cheat, or commit crimes. We ARE better than THAT.
But when it comes to the daily information war, Democrats play no-holds-barred and if we want to preserve the nation and the Constitution:
*****WE NEED TO DO THE SAME.*****
So please throw away your fainting couches and clutching pearls, and realize we are in a war for survival.
And there’s way too much pearl clutching and flopping on the fainting couch around here.
Man up, people.
“We’re better than that.”
Sounds like so many of the pearl clutchers RIGHT here!!
They need to get off at the next stop ... FurryTown.
And it ends with boomer parental unit's lifelong enemy, a man he has tried to destroy only to see him achieve far greater success in life than he ever could, doing a happy dance and pissing on his grave.
If the situation were reversed, what would meathead do?
Why?
Of course Trump shouldn’t have said it, but once again his analysis was right. I said the same thing to myself once I heard Rob Reiner was killed by his son. He always seem like an angry guy and your own children don’t slash your throat for no reason.
“Congress did that in the Big, Beautiful Bill.”
They DID not.
Taxation on all SS remains the same.
Only deductions from all income for some of those over 65 were increased.
It’s a Party Trick.
For the 2025 Tax Year, I get no reduction.
As long as Bessant claims “no tax on SS” I will not be voting for any of their GOPee candidates in 2026.
Ding Dong the meathead is dead.😏
I'm 78, and the deduction is welcome. Less of my Social Security will be taxable this year. I have my pension and Social Security and fall well within the adjusted gross income of $75,000. That's all I get. I file single taxpayer. I own nothing. Have no savings.
The weakness exhibited by some is indicative of a lack of resolve to fight to win. Fainting couches are unbecoming.
So a plea for Trump to observe common human decency when commenting on the horrific murder of two people at the hands of their son somehow puts us on the same page as sexual deviants? What is wrong with you?
“..the deduction is welcome. ....”
I’m totally sure it is.
But it’s totally a bald faced lie that SS is now not taxed.
I read your posts. You’re an AntiTrumper.
