If I try to be unbiased, I still can't see any way in which "Jews are interlopers in Israel".

1. Jews have always been in what is now Israel - even after the 132-136 Bar Kochkba revolt and the Roman repercussions (expulsion of Judaeans from the land), there are still records of Jews revolting in the 200s, 300s etc. and of Jews being allowed by the Christian empress in the late 300s to visit the wailing wall.

Even when the population dwindled to 100,000 or so during the Ottoman period, there were still Jews there.

2. The Samaritans have been there forever as well and genetically they have the Cohen gene

3. Some "Arabs" are mostly descendants of Jews and/or Samaritans - this ties in to your point of cultural obliteration by Arabization.

The problem is that the media shows only Ashkenazi Jewish ministers. What about

Mizrahis or Sephardic or Ethiopian or Indian Jews?

Jews are portrayed as blonde and white - that is only one group. On the other hand look at Assad - he could pass as any southern European or even - at a stretch a northern European

I met a Cochin Jew raised in India. He had the look, skin and accent of an Indian, but was nearly fluent in Hebrew and quite religious. He lives in Connecticut now. There are only about 12 Cochin Jews left in India.

I’ve met lots of Ethiopian Jews in the IDF. Some bases are as much as 10% black.

I met an Iraqi Jew whose mother and grandmother adopted Christianity to hide from the muslims who would kill them. They told him, and he came back to Judaism. He’s a very successful stock broker in Florida, and a huge, strong man. Just married.

So, Jews are a tribe and religion, but not even exactly an ethnicity!
