Re: toothache - someone may have suggested this already but taking a sip of something like scotch or bourbon and holding it in your mouth over the tooth for several seconds might help. I did that many years ago when I couldn’t get into the dentist immediately and it did help. Not terribly long lasting but did give some temporary relief. ((Hugs))

Another possible help...as always, YMMV - Sensodyne tooth paste. Has to be the original, though - no "whitening," "extra strength," etc. The original.

Put a dab on the end of the finger, rub it on the tooth and gum and the Sensodyn coats the exposed root...Has not only ALWAYS worked for me, but for others I have recommended it to with tooth pain...provides a few hours of relief, actually, before re-app - if the pain if root related - which it typically was for me.
