Very good video on Maltodextrin(Modified food starch)
My notes:
it's often claimed as organic. It's type of Starch the worst food for you. it's ultra processed refined:
from:
Sodium Trimetaphosphate, Vinyl Acetate, Sodium Hyporcholorite(Bleach), Octenylsuccinic acid(Anhydride(removes water.)
None listed in the ingredients because it's not regulated. It's a filler(legally food but it's NOT food.) Labeled "Modified food starch"
Methylglyoxal(MGO)(Aldehyde) is a byproduct of Glucose.
It's Formaldehyde mixed with Acetaldehyde((ethanal in our fuels) by product that causes hangover)
https://youtu.be/AUbEkURbakw?t=140 Side note: Building a house soon
learned common plywood most of them use cyanamide and formaldehyde. cyanamide brakes down at 120 deg F into nitrogen oxides and small amounts of cyanide.(hot summer on the roof)
Best plywood so far is Polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (pMDI)(uses Phosgene or chloroform (reacts with cytochrome P-450 enzyme. Also not good but not as bad as cyanide fumes)
Which btw OSHA has regulations on how much Cyanamide(cyanide) they can use to avoid occupants from getting dizzy. Sounds like the FDA to me.
