The steaks there are the same ones when the Sizzlers shut down.

Sizzler got killed by the “beef is bad for you” movement in the past 30 years.

I always liked Sizzler and applaud this effort however, with the price of steak now I dunno.
I can barely force myself to buy one in the grocery store and cook it at home.
I can afford it......but it’s the principle.....$20 for a boneless ribeye?

My experience at Sizzler was that the “steak” was a half pound of gristle and barely edible. If they come back I hope they have improved quality.

Our town has had them all:
Bonanza, Quincy’s, Western Steer, Western Sizzlin, Logan’s Roadhouse, and a local owned steakhouse restaurant called Coach & Four.
They all went belly-up except the local one and the owners just retired and sold off the property.
We still have a Long Horns and a Ruth’s Chris, both are very pricey.
And A Golden Corral which has crappy
dried out shoe-leather steaks...............

I LOVED going there as a kid! Endless nachos. I’m really hoping they succeed and manage to open back up here in IL as well. This state isn’t very business friendly.

Luby’s was good when I lived in San Antonio but it was more of a cafeteria than a steak restaurant. I’d like to see Sambo’s come back along with the commercials to watch the heads explode.

They're going to have to keep the price down, so I do not know if they can pull that off.

Never heard of the first two. We had a Bonanza instead of a Ponderosa, which is the same company............

I know they are all still in business but have few locations.
They used to be good for the value.

I had a friend who worked at one back in the day. He said all their steak was round steak cut into different shapes.
