A former Donald Trump voter who is running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate in Alabama said he wants to neutralize one of the Republicans’ favorite talking points with a blunt response.
Kyle Sweetser of Mobile said the GOP is obsessed with trying to define Democrats as advocates for transgender athletes participating in women’s sports.

Interesting politics, though
Pass.
You bring up a point that irritates me. Instead of Republican politicians always pointing to Biden as the worst president, they should point to the democrats as being responsible, which they are. It is as if since Biden is gone, the democrats are given a clean slate in the public mind.
Nothing new. Virtually every Dim who runs for a statewide vote here in Alabama has to pretend he’s only half a Dim. The only exception I can think of was Doug Jones (won U.S. Senate seat) who was full bore Dim (pro Obamacare, pro abortion, pro higher taxes, etc.) And he won only with intense, and I mean intense, media push. And perhaps some voter fraud.

.....
Kyle, it’s low hanging fruit. It’s at least an 80/20 issue, maybe more 90/10, but your Democrat party is mentally ill.
They appear obsessed in shoving it the faces of sane people.
Open up mental institutions again and maybe girls and woman can have their sports back.
Sure he is a “former Trump voter” riiihgt!
And he eats carburetors for breakfast.
I get the impression one of his main reasons for changing his party label, is because he thinks it will be easier to become elected in that area as a Dem, vs as a Republican.
He wouldn’t be the first to change for that reason.
I didn’t see much on what he has against the GOP.

Doug Jones won because the dems pulled a perfect wrap up smear on Roy Moore. Make a (false) accusation, get the press to report on your accusation, then claim the press reporting proves your accusation. So many were fooled. Even on FR there are people who condemn Roy Moore.
A Democrat? In Alabama?
There are no trannies who are “Trump voters.”

Perhaps some voter fraud. Perhaps.
Former Trump Voter is an identity. Ok n
Agreed. Personally, I was insulted to think that us Alabamians were supposed to be so stupid that we had to believe that:
1) An obviously forged signature in a then young girl's school yearbook was legit.
2) Anything coming out of Gloria Allred's mouth was legit.
3) And if Roy Moore had sexually assaulted/raped all of those girls as they claim, am I really supposed to believe that not one of those Alabama fathers made sure he was either in prison or in the ground for it?
“And he won only with intense, and I mean intense, media push. And perhaps some voter fraud.”
Jones had lots of help from McConnell, Shelby, and other Rinos
Bingo.
Moore actually won his defamation suit against the Democrat PAC which was spreading those lies in 2017.
But Moore’s win came in 2022, long after it mattered electorally.
Yes.
He may even be a nice guy with some good ideas, but, in the bottom line, he will be just another Schumer vote.
I was once told, vote for the best candidate, regardless of party. Hogwash!
They all vote on party line with few exceptions!
I just vote R, top down the ballot!
My response to this pol-wannabie: 'If Chuck came out as a girl, your party would demand that he'd be allowed. So if you truly believe that statement, you need to jump ship to our side.'
I'm not a Doctor, but I think he is crazy!! He got to be if he is running as a Demoncrat... 😀
