Michelle Obama may have left the White House eight years ago, but she has retained the allure of an international rock star. And so it is more than a little surreal to be speaking to her on Zoom — glossy and gorgeous in a stripy blue shirt from Gap, with a chunky silver necklace, her hair in a flicky blow-dry — about something she spent a very long time not talking about: fashion. Her new book, The Look — about her most renowned outfits and the stories behind them — is written in collaboration with her stylist, Meredith Koop. “What I wore was important … people looked forward to the outfits, and once I got their attention, they listened to what I had to say,” she writes in the book. “This is the soft power of fashion.” This idea that fashion is frivolous, she says to me now, is a tiresome misnomer. “It is a business — billions of dollars of business.” (snip)
“Society tends to diminish women when they hit this milestone, [but] I’m not going to disappear,” she writes in The Look of turning 60. She says she is less focused now on those famous “Michelle Obama arms” and more on feeling healthy — she has recently taken up yin yoga, for instance. “My philosophy is, let me control what I can, and be mindful of not just who I am in the world, but how I take care of my body.” The first lady in motion has not stopped, she tells me. “I feel as free now in this stage of my life as I did when I was a kid.”

No responsibilities and hundreds of millions of dollars will do that.
Now tell us some more how miserable you are. Seems like feeling free would conflict with that, but that's just me.
Below, in 2016 for Vogue, showing how classy she is at the White House. The First Lady of The United States of America.
Go away Lunch Lady.
Excuse me while I wretch.
Free balling
Big Mike ALMOST looks like a girl...
Wonder why he crossed his legs...
‘Stripy’?
...sigh...
LOLOL!!!
And, here I thought she was a slave when she was young.
IT clown.
Astroturfing BS. I don't see her drawing crowds. Not a single pic of her speaking to a large group indicative of "rock star" status. A few high priced dinners and far left events attended mostly by rich white liberals. The far left press is pushing her into the spotlight, not masses clamoring for her brilliant opinion and insight.
The Whining book tour , WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Why was that necessary? I just had dinner.
Wide load.
Should FR be renamed Michelle’s blog?
Every day I have to see a blog headline from this person
WTH?!? Where is the barf alert?
I have the receipts right here:
