The word went out that she had said in an interview about the election of Barack that 'for the first time in my life, I am proud of my country'. That caused a ruckus and her team corrected it to say what she REALLY said was 'for the first time in my ADULT life, I'm proud of my country'. The press then said 'well there you go, she was misquoted. Time to move on.'
Of course, for me, I just thought 'wait ... why is that better?' Answer: it's not, but they powerwashed the story out of the news with it.
