Oklahoma has a so-called “closed” primary system, in which only registered members of a political party can vote in their party’s primary. Oklahoma’s Democratic Party has, in recent elections, allowed voters registered as independent to vote in its primaries, but the Republican Party has not.
RATS don’t do anything “open.”
It is a Leftist attempt to use subterfuge to deny voters the recognition of what ideologies a candidate is connected to, which is what party designation helps to do. By denying and hiding party designation the Left gets voters to pretend the candidate’s underlying political ideology is not important (as in, you don’t need to know).
We don’t register by party in TN. So all primaries are “open”.
You can choose which party primary to vote in.
The state is pretty solid Red.
We knew this was coming. Oklahoma is the last bastion of conservative values in our country. We stand for the flag, attend church and wish to be left alone.
