“Her Reason Shocks Viewers”

Hardly. What a wonderful woman to follow her husband on her bike so he can continue running.

Get him a treadmill.
It is his duty, as a husband, to adjust to his limitations to ensure his wife is not overly burdened.

That goes both ways.

Good wife.

Loyalty and commitment is almost impossible to find today.

They are just punchlines used in speeches but which no one practices.

On Tuesday I was driving down a country road that I often drive on. Sometimes there are people riding their bikes. This time, there was a bike with a car following it closely. I slowed down, and then they waved me around them. I think it was a situation just like the one described here. Someone was pacing the rider, and making sure he was ok.

He should have avoided exercise. It will kill you dead. Stay home, shelter in place, wear your mask, drink plenty of water. And for G-D’s sake, you get your boosters as often as you’re told!

Poor journalism as well.

If his heart stops, you WANT the defibrilator to “go off”. It shocks the heart back into rhythm.

I have had a defibrillator for many years now after going into VTACH after a 5 mile run. Undiagnosed, genetic heart condition. I understand her concern. Getting shocked back into rhythm is not a fun experience. And if he experienced a major issue and was shocked multiple times, it is absolute hell. No different than being tortured.

I personally just quit running, as it wasn’t worth the worry and potential problems. And my wife “assured” me I was making the correct decision... :)
