He means the same thing that a mugger does when they say, "Your money or your life."

NYC just voted to be robbed and murdered.

Intellectual back-flips to deny the obvious. Seizing the means of production is one of Marx’s most fundamental objectives.

That loud sucking sound, as Ross Perot said, is businesses fleeing the state for red states. 6 months from now, NYC, will look totally different. The difference between past communist efforts is there is somewhere to flee that’s not!

He’s a red diaper baby wielding stupid high school marxist slogans.

NY City has NO “means of production.”

The city survives by skimmings from Wall Street printed-money and debt trading, and from Fed.gov transfers.

The rest is from services like restaurants, entertainment and drug dealing.

There is NOTHING for this stupid red diaper baby to seize.

Of course they are covering for him.

Wars have consequences, well so does letting the left control universities. As far back as I can remember colleges have been predominantly democratic/socialistic and “independent” ( communist but afraid to admit it usually) staff, especially in the soft sciences. Today it’s about 25 to 1 in journalism, the one being republican.

Now we are seeing those effects in orgs like politifact.

“And what I want to say is that it is critical that the way that we organize, the way that we set up our you know, set up our work and our priorities, that we do not leave any one issue for the other, that we do not meet a moment and only look at what people are ready for, but that we are doing both of these things in tandem, because it is critical for us to both meet people where they’re at and to also organize and organize for what is correct and for what is right and to ensure over time we can bring people to that issue.””

I bet Kamala could understand that diatribe.

From LBJ and Nixon to city council and dog catcher I have heard politicians use phrases in cynical ways to please the immediate audience.

One question is how much is the new mayor of New York an ideologue and how much is he a pragmatist? On what issues is he willing to listen to other opinions in the coalition?

It’s the same with Trump. RFK and Tulsi Gabbard were not in the 2016-2020 MAGA coalition. Their ideas were not part of the coalition. But the coalition has had no trouble welcoming them and their ideas in 2023-2024-2025.

(At the same time, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes are an embarrassment to the coalition and need to be told ADIOS.)

A similar situation exists in NYC, and in every coalition.

I’m old enough to remember that Castro wasn’t a Communist either until he seized power in Cuba.

Unlike traditional Commies, it's about eliminating the means of production, not controlling them.

The result of this election was clear: Islam is the clear winner and the need to repeal the 19th amendment couldn’t be clearer.

What a joke.

They carefully limit themselves to what he said "during the race" as their justification for dismissal a statement he made only a few years ago. And in that statement, he specifically said that was an "end goal" for which people are not yet ready.

In other words, it's exactly what he believes, but he chose not to run openly on it because he knew it would be controversial. But it doesn't change the fact of what he is.

"What’s it mean?" -- Amy Sherman, are you REALLY that stupid?

But, not to be eclipsed in the Stupidity Department, Geoffrey Kurtz, an associate political science professor at Borough of Manhattan Community College said

"I had the impression that Mamdani intended that phrase as lighthearted hyperbole. I see no reason to assume that the phrase conveys anything precise about what he thinks."
Yeah, it's nothing but a light hearted joke. Heh heh. We'll all be laughing when the Stasi or KGB come to our doors to take us away.
