Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland died early Thursday morning, the team announced. He was 24.
"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning," the Cowboys said in a statement. "Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family."
Kneeland's agent, Jonathan Perzley, said in a statement, "I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night. I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream to being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.

LOL, yeah a joke, in my usual poor taste. I tried doing an NFL weekly betting league a few yrs ago, but it took up way too much time. I can’t even imagine the time required to do fantasy.

Look for what?
Right. The COVID shot, when the early, higher risk COVID variants were running amok, made sense for me, and even for my daughter, with her asthma problems. Now, not so much (and my daughter pretty much outgrew her asthma).
All of us (wifey, daughter san, and I) still get a flu shot. I was in the ER years ago with my Dad when he came this || close to dying from flu. It was probably the worst night of my life, and more so for him, at the time... And even then, I know flu vaccines often “miss” the variant, or may only reduce severity: They do not prevent infection.
It might not even be a recent “reason” to be “down”.
A crude analogy might be a big ol’ tree branch. It survived our spring and summer storms. And then, this fall, we got a slow, light rain. There was no wind to speak of, but right at the very end of the 2-day rain, the branch came down. The unseen continued decay, and the weight of the water accumulating in the “punky” wood, broke it.
