Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland died early Thursday morning, the team announced. He was 24.
"It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning," the Cowboys said in a statement. "Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family."
Kneeland's agent, Jonathan Perzley, said in a statement, "I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night. I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream to being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.

Never mind. This isn’t a Covid thread.
I have to admit that the first thing I thought of was all those young men dying on soccer fields after the vaccine came out. But that’s the past. This guy just died.
Of course Jerry Jones didn’t care.
He is still listed as active so good news if he is on your fantasy team.
Hate to break it to you but polio and smallpox are very different types of viruses than Covid which mutates making vaccines difficult to make/be effective. Look it up.
“O Death, where is thy sting, O grave, where is thy victory”
To your point, the stories i heard right before the draft were so insane they could not be reported....even if a fraction of it was true no one would dare draft the kid- except the Cowboys (who- oh yeh- drafted Gregory)...
Yep. People die. Some die after working a crossword puzzle. Some die after eating Raisin Bran. Coincidences happen. Some people die two weeks after getting a Covid shot. Some die two weeks after using binoculars to look at birds. Correlation isn’t causation. Coincidences happen.
Many died of Covid.
>>”Yep. One of my friends died of Covid before the vaccines were available. Many died from Covid—many before the vaccines were first introduced.”
Me too. I know four people personally, who died from Covid. One of them was my father. I know indirectly of probably about a dozen people who died from COVID (e.g. a friend of a friend). COVID was real. The COVID vaxes are not for everyone, and it’s probably not a good idea for children to take them, as a general rule. But the hysteria over them has gotten out of hand.
I hope that was meant as a joke.
Defensive players are not on Fantasy Teams, you pick a team and you get points depending on how many points/yards they give up, and if they score any defensive touchdowns, which ironically Kneeland did in their last game.
And you wouldn’t want the Cowboys as your Fantasy Defensive team this year.
Any time someone dies at the age of 24, it is deeply sad, at least for family and friends. And it goes against what we expect in the cycle of life. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.
very sad. I will speculate that he deals with depression and the recent trade of a player that he felt might cut into his playing time had an impact on his mental health.
or not. either way I am truly sorry for his family and friends
>>Just reminding everyone, that death is undefeated<<
Jesus defeated death! He was ressurected from death! Praise the Lord!
.
In my case that was because it didn’t take any longer than that to fly off of the
seat of my motorcycle, slide to a halt on the gravel, and realize that I had survived the escapade. I now refer to it as ‘doing my Superman Impression.’ (Flying)

Noting that Jesus first died, and then was resurrected.
He did not escape the pain of death, nor of separation from the Father.
He conquered death by passing through it, and then rising on the third day.
Reminds me of Mark Tuinei. In his case it was an overdose of heroin.
The vehicle was later located abandoned and had been involved in a crash on the southbound lanes of Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway.
DPS Aircraft and Troopers, along with the Frisco Police Department, searched the immediate area and found the driver, a 24-year-old of Plano, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He has since been identified as Marshawn Kneeland, a player for the Dallas Cowboys.
Frisco PD is handling the death investigation.
Jerry has the Frisco PD in his back pocket, so to speak. It may be painful, but every player in trouble eventually gets out of it.

You must be posting to the wrong person. I refused to get the shot, but I don't attribute it to every celebrity death that gets mentioned in the news.
This is so sad. He scored a td in last MNF game. Depression, Bi-Polar and even Acute Schizophrenia are treatable with the right meds.
